Sgt. Glenn E. Thompson

GRANTS, N.M. – Funeral services for U.S. Army Sgt. Glenn E. Thompson, 81, of Grants, New Mexico, were held Nov. 25, 2025, at The Way, Truth, and Life Ministries Church in Grants, with Danny Almanza officiating. Interment followed at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.

U.S. Army Sgt. Glenn E. Thompson, Aug. 31, 1944 – Nov. 10, 2025

Thompson was born Aug. 31, 1944, in Crownpoint, into the Naashgalí dine’é (Mescalero Apache Clan), born for Kinyaa’áanii (Towering House Clan). He passed away Nov. 10, 2025, in Grants.

Thompson graduated from Del Norte High School in 1968 and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He worked for Bishop Heichard.

Thompson was also a rancher who provided for his family. He enjoyed fixing electronics and vehicles and reading the Bible and magazines.

Thompson is survived by his son, Randy Thompson; daughters, Pamale Lee and Beverly Davis; brothers, Leonard Thompson, Harrison Thompson and Harry Hill; sister, Virginia Becenti; and 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Thompson is preceded in death by his parents, Elizabeth Charley and Dan Thompson; and Jimmy Thompson, Patrick Bitsuie, Roger Charley, Lena Delgarito, Emily Garcia Tso, Rena Delgarito, Kee John Garcia Jr. and Clearance Charley.

Pallbearers were Randall N. Thompson, Robert Matoka Jr., Davison Davis, Mandi Kaufman, Russell Kaufman and Justin Martin.

Honorary pallbearers were Dallason Davis, Dawson Davis, Ethan Begay and Eric Begay.

Timothy Charles

FIRESTONE, Colo. – Timothy “Tim” Charles, of Firestone, Colorado, passed away on Nov. 6, 2025, while on vacation in Hawaii.

Timothy “Tim” Charles, April 11, 1954 – Nov. 6, 2025

Tim was born April 11, 1954, in Fort Defiance, to Martha Charles.

Tim and his wife Debbie were married on Nov. 4, 1989, in Arizona, where their three children were born. They later moved to Colorado.

Tim earned an engineering degree and was employed as a computer engineer at various corporations. He embraced new technology and problem solving along with having the ability to fix almost anything.
Tim was an avid sportsman, outdoorsman and athlete. He loved running and the challenge of competing in various events such as triathlons. He also was a professional photographer who was passionate about photographing his children as they participated in their sports and various endeavors along with the family’s travels and adventures.

Tim was a devoted, dedicated family man, father and husband. He was at every event and enjoyed spending time with his children and participated in sports with them through the years.

Tim will be remembered for his kind, humble and quiet demeanor. He was delighted in finding humor in all situations. His laughter and sense of humor will be dearly missed.

Tim is survived by his wife, Debbie; children, Steven, Lauren, and Michael; sisters, Elsie Snell and Elaine Sombrero; brothers, James and Sam Charles; and numerous nephews and nieces.

Tim will be buried on the Navajo Nation with a service for immediate family.

 


Rochell J. White

FORT DEFIANCE – Funeral services for Rochell Jean White, 35, of Fort Defiance, were held Dec. 3 at The Potters House Church in Fort Defiance, with Pastor Haven officiating. Interment followed at the Fort Defiance community cemetery.

Rochell was born Jan. 16, 1990, in Fort Defiance, into the Kinyaa’áanii (Towering House Clan), born for Oozéí. Her nálí is Hooghan Łání (Many Hogans); cheii is Tsi’naajinii (Black Streak Wood People). She passed away Nov. 22, 2025, in Phoenix.

Rochell attended Window Rock High School and Diné College. She enjoyed beading, drawing, cooking, making people laugh, and spending time with family and friends.

Rochell is survived by her son, Ryland T. White of Phoenix; daughter, Shaelynn D. White of Fort Defiance; and sister, Roshawn I. White of Navajo, New Mexico.

Rochell is preceded in death by her mother, Orlinda Lee; father, Thomas White; and brother, Brandon B. Lee.

Pallbearers were Jonathan Willie, Harrison Harvey, Vernon Morgan, CJ Benally, Alden Mustache and Ron Gillwood.

Honorary pallbearers were Ryland T. White and Jayvion Willie.

Theodore N. Livingston

GALLUP – Funeral services for Theodore Ned Livingston, 73, of Pinedale, New Mexico, were held Dec. 2 at the Rollie Mortuary Palm Chapel in Gallup, with Jonah High officiating. Interment followed in Gallup.

Theodore was born Nov. 21, 1952, in Fort Defiance, into the Tó baazhní’ázhí (Two Who Came to the Water Clan), born for Haltsooí (Meadow People Clan). His nálí is Táchii’nii (Red Running Into the Water People); cheii is Tsi’naajinii (Black Streak Wood People). He passed away Nov. 19, 2025, in Albuquerque.

Theodore graduated from Intermountain Indian High School in 1971 and served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged in May 1978.

Theodore worked various jobs in Gallup and was employed at Wingate Elementary School as a food service worker for 35 years where he retired. He was a member of the Native American Church as a roadman and enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family.

Theodore is survived by his sons, Gerald Livingston and Gabriel Livingston; daughter, Fidelia Livingston; brother, Allison Livingston; sister, Mary Lou Manygoats; and 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Theodore is preceded in death by his parents, Clara Esson and Henry B. Livingston; sons, Freddie Livingston and Jeffrey Livingston; sisters, Lorraine Charley and Margaret Peterson; and brothers, Johnnie Davis, Glenn Davis, Robert Livingston and Eddie B. Livingston.

Pallbearers were Gerald Livingston, Gabriel Livingston, Raynaldon Edison, Anthony Yazzie, Emery Livingston, and Mekai Livingston.

Craig A. Tsosie

CROWNPOINT – Funeral services for Craig Alan Tsosie, 52, of Crownpoint, will be held Friday, Dec. 5, at 10 a.m., at the LDS Church in Crownpoint. Burial will follow in Crownpoint.

Craig was born March 12, 1973, in Crownpoint, into the Bit’ahnii (Folded Arms People Clan), born for Little Parrot (Laguna Pueblo). His nálí is Bird Clan (Eastern Band Cherokee) from Cherokee, North Carolina; cheii is Kinyaa’áanii (Towering House). He passed away Nov. 28, 2025, in Albuquerque.

Craig graduated from Las Vegas High School in Las Vegas, Nevada, and was a self-employed artist. He enjoyed painting, drawing, pottery, beading, wood carving and cooking. He made the best tamales this side of the Rio Grande.

Craig is survived by his father, Alvin A. Tsosie Jr.; brothers, Thomas Tsosie, Lance Tsosie and Romney Tsosie; and sisters, Leona Fawn Joe and Alexandrea Dawn Tsosie.

Craig is preceded in death by his mother, LaVerne C. Tsosie; and grandparents, Sarah Leeds Tsosie and Alvin B. Tsosie Sr., Ruth and John DeVore, and George Craig.

Pallbearers will be Micheal Montague, Gregory Montague, Harry Montague Jr., Justin Montague, Malakai Tannehill-Shot With Arrow and Jay Joe.

Honorary pallbearers will be Alvin A. Tsosie Jr., Thomas Tsosie, Lance Tsosie, Romney Tsosie, Nathan Tsosie and Gilbert J. Joe.

A reception will take place at the Crownpoint Chapter House following services.

Lillian Hoskie

SANDERS, Ariz. – Funeral services for Lillian Hoskie, 65, of Sanders, Arizona, is pending.

Lillian was born Feb. 29, 1960, in Fort Defiance, into the Honágháahnii (One-walks-around Clan), born for Haltsooí (Meadow People Clan). Her nálí is Naaneesht’ézhí Táchii’nii (Charcoal Streaked Division of the Red Running Into the Water); cheii is ‘Áshįįhí (Salt People). She passed away Nov. 30, 2025, in Sanders.

Lillian was a housewife who enjoyed music, watching TV, arts and crafts and traveling with her grandchildren.

Lillian is survived by her common-law husband, Isaac Yazzie; son, Bertram Hoskie; daughter, Loretta Hoskie Cheney; mother, Mabel Lewis; father, Frank Jones; sister, Nacey Lee; and 10 grandchildren.

Lillian is preceded in death by her brother, Pat Lee.

Pallbearers will be Shaun Hoskie, Bertram Hoskie, Galvason Cheney, Jeffrey Begay and Jeremiah Jones.

Honorary pallbearers will be Isaac Yazzie and Chris Joe.

A reception will take place at the Houck Chapter House following services.
