Kendra K. Yazzie
GALLUP – Funeral services for Kendra Kay Yazzie, 45, of Iyanbito, New Mexico, were held Feb. 24 at Rollie Mortuary in Gallup, with Lorenzo Sandman officiating. Interment followed at the Gallup City Cemetery.

Kendra Kay Yazzie, June 30, 1980 – Feb. 15, 2026,
Kendra was born June 30, 1980, in Gallup, into the Kinyaa’áanii (Towering House Clan), born for Kinyaa’áanii. Her nálí is Táchii’nii (Red Running Into the Water People); cheii is Haltsooí (Meadow People). She passed away Feb. 15, 2026, in Gallup.
Kendra attended Iyanbito Preschool, Wingate Elementary School, Wingate Middle School and Wingate High School. She was a homemaker who enjoyed arts and crafts, dancing to rez bands, cooking, baking and spending time with her grandchildren.
Kendra is survived by her sons, William Smith, Wes Smith and Aidan Smith; daughters, Kyra K. Brown, Hope Yazzie, Kiona Duboise and Kera Duboise; mother, Victrina R. Spencer; father, Larry S. Yazzie; brothers, Brian Yazzie and Darrell Louie; sisters, Kimberly Charley, Tamara Sam (Yazzie), Alvina Burbank and Shelby Yazzie; grandparents, Helen E. Nelson (Spencer) and James C. Spencer; and two grandchildren.

Gilbert Farley
SHIPROCK – Funeral services for Gilbert Farley, 70, of Littlewater, New Mexico, were held Feb. 25 at the Desert View Funeral Home in Shiprock. Interment followed at the Mule Trail Mesa in Aneth, Utah.

Gilbert Farley, Jan. 6, 1956 – Feb. 18, 2026
Gilbert was born Jan. 6, 1956, into the Tł’ízí lání (Many Goats Clan), born for ‘Áshįįhí (Salt People Clan). His nálí is Bit’ahnii (Under His Cover); cheii is Hashk’ąą hadzohí (Yucca Fruit-Strung-Out-In-A-Line). He passed away Feb. 18, 2026, in Shiprock.
Gilbert attended Aneth Boarding School, Teec Nos Pos Boarding School, Intermountain Indian School and Whitehorse High School. He was an artist and sheepherder.
Gilbert enjoyed watching wrestling and Gunsmoke, drinking coffee, telling jokes and listening/singing Native American Church songs.
Gilbert is survived by his children, Fleurette Farley Estes, Calvert Art Farley, Pamela (Farley) Brown, Delana Joy Farley, and Roland Gilbert Farley; siblings, Aurelia Watchman, Irene Farley, Herman Farley, Larry Farley, Loretta Lansing, Albert Farley and Lisa Farley; and three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Gilbert is preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Farley; and siblings, Arthur Farley, Leon Farley and Ernesteen Billy.
Pallbearers were Roland Farley, Devin Brown, Damien Brown, Cornelius Shorthair, Jonah Shorthair and Remus Begay.
Honorary pallbearers were Calvert Art Farley, Arland Tsedah, Raleigh Morgan, Raymond Burton Estes and Jonathan Paul Manygoats.

Sean D. Doctor
FLAGSTAFF – Graveside service for Sean David Doctor, 42, of Manchester, New Hampshire, and Phoenix, were held Dec. 23, 2025, at the Citizens Cemetery in Flagstaff.

Sean David Doctor, April 18, 1983 – Dec. 12, 2025
Sean was born April 18, 1983, in Holbrook, Arizona, into the Tódích’íi’nii (Bitter Water Clan), born for Tł’ízí lání (Many Goats Clan). He passed away Dec. 12, 2025, in Manchester.
Sean graduated from Tolleson Union High School in Tolleson, Arizona, and earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Arizona in 2005 and a master’s degree in business administration from Arizona State University in 2010.
Sean moved to Boston in 2015 and continued his life with Jenna and their dog Jack. His engineering career flourished in the Northeast, where he became a senior project engineer for BETA of Manchester. His professional work improved transportation systems that re-shaped the places where people lived, worked, and played. He grew to love New England and spent the last years of life in Nashua and Manchester.
Sean was witty, intelligent, compassionate, stalwart and generous. He was an inspiration to his family and friends for his character and accomplishments.
Sean took joy in all the pastimes of his childhood: sports, art, music, film, skateboarding and the outdoors. He always shared his knowledge and recommendations of music, books, movies, TV and skateboarding sites with everyone.
Sean captained football pools, camping trips and Mixcloud playlists. He loved watching the sun rise at his grandfather’s home among the red rocks at the base of Roanhorse Canyon in the Chuska Mountains.
Sean will be missed by the red rocks, friends and family that he loved and cared deeply for.
Sean is survived by his parents, Ellen (Roanhorse) and Oscar Doctor Jr.; sisters, Danielle Doctor and Alissa (Doctor) Valdez; brother-in-law, Gregory Valdez; nieces, Abbey and Sadie; nephew, Evan Doctor (Jessica) and their son Vincent; and relatives from the Roanhorse and Doctor families and many longtime friends and family in Arizona and New Hampshire.
Sean is preceded in death by his sister, Deanna Doctor; and grandparents, Roberta and Oscar Doctor Sr., and Annie and Allen Roanhorse Sr.
Pallbearers were Robert Brown, Matt Stacy, Daniel Alvarez, Mike Sanchez, Wade Ben, Brian Brown, Gregory Valdez and Caleb Price.
Honorary pallbearers were Evan Doctor, Kilohi Doctor, Godfrey Roanhorse, Nathan Roanhorse, Duchesne Roanhorse, Josiah Ben, Keith Brown and Adam Brown.
Lozano’s Flagstaff Mortuary oversaw arrangements.
Dorothy House Becenti
GALLUP – Funeral services for Dorothy House Becenti, 91, of Becenti, New Mexico, will be held Monday, March 2, at 1:30 p.m., at Rollie Mortuary in Gallup. Burial will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
Dorothy was born July 27, 1934, in Rehoboth, New Mexico, into the Kiyaa’áanii (Towering House Clan), born for Tódích’íi’nii (Bitter Water Clan). She passed away Feb. 22, 2026.
Dorothy attended Phoenix Indian School and was employed at Crownpoint Boarding School for 20 years. She enjoyed ranch work and traveling from Canada to Mexico and from the East Coast to the West Coast.
Dorothy is survived by her son, Arnold Becenti; daughters, Doris Becenti and Delores Becenti; sisters, Esther Kee of Thoreau, New Mexico, and Mary Alice Barbone of Smith Lake, New Mexico; and six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, Judge Tom Bill Becenti; parents, Joe and Martha C. House; brothers, Fred House, Herman House Sr. and David House; and sisters, Nellie Delgarito and Ella Mae House.
