Bronson C. Martin

GANADO, Ariz. — Funeral services for Bronson Charles Martin, 59, of Ganado, Arizona, will be held Friday, March 7, at 9:30 a.m., at the Presbyterian Church in Ganado. Burial will follow at the Ganado community cemetery.

Bronson Charles Martin, May 21, 1965 – Feb. 23, 2025

Bronson was born May 21, 1965, in Ganado, into the Tábąąhá (Water’s Edge Clan), born for Kinłichíi’nii (Red House People Clan). His nálí is Tódích’íi’nii (Bitter Water); cheii is Naakaii dine’é (Mexican). He passed away Feb. 23, 2025, in Mesa, Arizona.

Bronson completed high school and attended Job Corps. He worked for Beaty Construction, Star Masonry, and San Juan Center for Independence Home Health Care.

Bronson was a comical joker and jewelry craftsman/silversmith who enjoyed fishing, cooking, baking, karaoke, weightlifting, and bricklaying.

Bronson is survived by his daughters, Latrissa Martin and Angel Jim; mother, Ellouise Martin; brothers, Duane Martin, TJ Bitsie, Houston Martin, Allan Martin, and Gregory Martin; sisters, Alana Bia, Cheryl Martin, Rochelle Martin, and Jenine Martin; and five grandchildren.

Bronson is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Bah and Alfred Hardy; paternal grandparents, Amy and Peter Martin; and Robert Martin, Deborah Martin, Rhett Martin, and Eltonio Kirk.

Pallbearers will be TJ Bitsie, Brandon Martinez, Buddy Lynch, Emmett Bia Jr., Cody Bia, and Bradley Buffalocalf.

Honorary pallbearers will be Duane Martin, Darrell Hardy, Houston Martin, Melvin Hill, and Brandon Jim.

A reception will take place at the Ganado Chapter House following the services.

Green Meadows Funeral Home oversaw the arrangements.


Mary F. Allison

ST. MICHAELS, Ariz. — Funeral services for Mary Frances Allison, 74, of St. Michaels, Arizona, were held March 3 at the Mary, Mother of Mankind Catholic Church St. Michaels Mission in St. Michaels, with Father Peter Short officiating. Interment followed at the family plot in Tse Bonito, New Mexico.

Mary was born Nov. 15, 1950, in St. Michaels, into the Kinłichíi’nii (Red House People Clan), born for Honágháahnii (One-walks-around Clan). She passed away Feb. 25, 2025, in Albuquerque.

Mary attended Window Rock High School and worked at General Dynamics, Navajo Westerners, and Darby’s Sandwich Shop. She enjoyed bingo, sewing, crafts, puzzles, sports, Sudoku, word puzzles, and reading.

Mary is survived by her daughters, Marilyn Allison, Marcie Allison-Destea, Marietta Allison, and Marvella Allison; brothers, Mike Bordy, David Bordy, and Johnson Bordy; sisters, Agnes Bordy and Rosemary Bordy; and nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Mary is preceded in death by her mother, Philomena Snez-Bordy; father, Barney Bordy; and daughter, Martina Allison.

Pallbearers were Avery K. Charley, Adrian R. Destea, and Tyrone Bordy.

Honorary pallbearers were Jarvison Clay, Tristan D. Nez, Alexander R. Destea, and Rick R. Destea.

Rollie Mortuary oversaw the arrangements.


Marty R. Yazzie

GALLUP — Funeral services for Marty Ray Yazzie, 43, of Gallup, will be held Friday, March 7, at the Saint John Vianney Catholic Church in Gallup, with Father Henry officiating. Rosary begins at 10 a.m., followed by the service at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Gallup.

Marty was born March 24, 1981, in Gallup, into the Lók’aa’ dine’é (Reed People Clan), born for Tótsohnii (Big Water Clan). He passed away Feb. 26, 2025, in Gilbert, Arizona.

Marty earned an associate degree and was employed as a welder. He enjoyed being a horse trainer/Ferrier.

Mary is survived by his sons, Colter Yazzie and Cooper Yazzie; father, Lee K. Yazzie; brothers, Gabe Yazzie and Monty Lee Yazzie; and sister, Shannon Yazzie.

Marty is preceded in death by his mother, Caroline Kaye Yazzie, and sister, Linda Begay.

Pallbearers will be Monty Lee Yazzie, Clayton Yazzie, Taye Silversmith, Tateyn Silversmith, and Garren Yazzie, and Danny Baker.

Honorary pallbearers will be Colter Yazzie, Cooper Yazzie, and Thurman Brown.

A reception will take place at the Gallup Community Center following the services.

Kimberlee R. Sandoval

GALLUP — Funeral services for Kimberlee Rae Sandoval, 34, of Phoenix, will be held Friday, March 7, at 10 a.m., at Rollie Mortuary in Gallup, with LDS High Priest DeVon J. Koyle officiating. Burial will follow in Tohatchi, New Mexico.

Kimberlee Rae Sandoval, July 15, 1990 – Feb. 28, 2025

Kimberlee was born July 15, 1990, in Gallup, into the Tó Dík’ǫ́zhí (Salt Water Clan), born for Tó’aheedlíinii (Water Flow Together Clan). She passed away Feb. 28, 2025, in Phoenix.

Kimberlee graduated from Farmington High School and attended San Juan College for nursing and medical. She enjoyed attending concerts, cooking, hiking, shopping, listening to music, caring for family, watching movies and football games, and running a marathon in Denver.

Kimberlee is survived by her husband, Ryan Anderson; son, Jacoby Lucero; mother, Rickilee Hall; and brothers, Isaac Hall and Isaiah Hall.

Kimberlee is preceded in death by her father, Bobby Tso Jr.; sister, Alexandria Sandoval; grandmother, Lucy Esther Yazzie; and grandfather, Howard Sandoval.

Pallbearers will be Isaac Hall, Gary Sandoval, Ryan Anderson, Shawn Smith, Isaiah Hall, and Eli Sandoval.

A reception will take place at the Rock Springs Chapter House following services.
