Tony Semallie
GRAY MOUNTAIN, Ariz. – Funeral services for Tony Semallie, 73, of Cameron, Arizona, will be held Friday, May 16, at 10 a.m., at the Gray Mountain Bible Church in Gray Mountain, Arizona. Burial will follow at the Tappan Springs Cemetery in Cameron.

Tony Semallie, Sept. 15, 1951 – May 7, 2025
Tony was born Sept. 15, 1951, in Tuba City, into the Tsé deeshgizhnii (Rock Gap Clan), born for Tł’ááshchí’í (Red Bottom People Clan). His nálí is Kiyaa’áanii (Towering House); cheii is Kiyaa’áanii. He passed away May 7, 2025, in Tucson.
Tony attended Eastern Arizona College and American Indian Art Institute in Santa Fe. He worked as an artist and in retail sales.
Tony was an artist by trade and loved watching ESPN and CNN, completing crossword puzzles, drawing, and music.
Tony is survived by his children, Tia Felix and Terrence Semallie; siblings, Carol Semallie, Leona Preston, Marilyn McReeves, Lyna Robbins, and Linda Wesley; and one grandchild, Zooey Felix.
Tony is preceded in death by his wife, Jennie Benally; parents, Mabel and Calvin Semallie; and Lena Semallie, Leslie Semallie, Mickey Semallie, Calvin Semallie, Henry Huskon, BJ Yazzie, Dave Wesley, and Larry Robbins.
Pallbearers will be Terrence Semallie, Lance Semallie, Landon Semallie, Korey McReeves, Kordell McReeves, Jesse Semallie, Delbert Tso, and Seymour Tso.
A reception will take place at the Cameron Chapter House following services.
