Kee Crank

RIGBY, Idaho – Funeral services for Kee Crank, 76, of Rigby, Idaho, were held Nov. 14 at the Rigby 14th Ward. Interment followed at the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery.

Kee was born Dec. 9, 1938, in Black Mesa, Ariz., to Brig and Alice Russell Crank. He passed away Nov. 9, 2015, at the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

Kee was raised and attended Kayenta Boarding School. He graduated from Intermountain Indian School in Brigham City, Utah.

Kee married Helen Bertha Call on Nov. 7, 1964, in the Idaho Falls L.D.S. Temple. He worked for Printcraft Press in Idaho Falls as a journeyman printer for 40 years.

Kee was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and a proud member of the Navajo Nation. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, horses, raising cattle, and riding four wheelers. He loved his children, grandchildren and was an avid Rigby Trojan fan.

Kee is survived by his daughters, Rachel (Jeff) Anderson of Menan, and Sheryl (Dustin) Coles of Rigby; son, Michael Kee (Janice) Crank of Idaho Falls; sisters, Thelma Johnson, Rose (Herb) Yazzie and Sally Chief, all of Black Mesa; brothers, Eli Crank and Simon Crank, both of Black Mesa, and Johnston Crank of Dennehotso, Ariz.; and seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Kee is preceded in death by his parents, wife and two sisters.

Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby was in charge of arrangements.

Amory Dedman

ST. MICHAELS, Ariz. — Funeral services for Amory Dedman, 32, of Lupton, Ariz., were held Nov. 18 at the St. Michaels Mission Church in St. Michaels, Ariz., with Father Patrick Schafer officiating. Interment followed in Lupton.

Amory was born Oct. 27, 1983, in Gallup, into the Tóich’iiUnii (Bitter Water Clan), born for Kinlichii”nii (Red House Clan). He died Nov. 12, 2015, in Albuquerque.

Amory attended Navajo Head Start in Houck, Ariz., Hunters Point, Wingate Elementary School, Sanders Junior High School, and Sanders-Valley High School. He enjoyed playing basketball, drawing low riders, listening to music, and eating home-cooked meals, especially fry bread and biscuits. He was a Steelers fan and loved his nieces, nephew and family.

Amory is survived by his parents, Sharon A. Ashley and Ames Y. Dedman; brothers, Eugene Ashley, Anthony T. Dedman and Fernando K. Dedman; and sister, Valerie L. Ashley.

Amory is preceded in death by his brother, Adrian B. Dedman; maternal grandparents, Tully Y. Ashley and Mable Ashley Wauneka; and paternal grandparents, Kee B. Yazzie and Anna May Cabellero.

Pallbearers were Fernando K. Dedman, Francis L. Wauneka, Aaron Wauneka, Fred Tso, and Danny Okee.

Silver Creek Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.

Evelyn Yellowhair

STEAMBOAT, Ariz. — Funeral services for Evelyn Yellowhair, 61, of Steamboat, Ariz., were held Nov. 18 at the LDS Church in Steamboat, with Peter Yazzie officiating. Interment followed at the family plot.

Evelyn, a Wingate High School graduate, was born Aug. 29, 1954, in Ganado, Ariz., into the Tbaah (WaterUs Edge Clan), born for TchiiUnii (Red Running Into the Water People Clan). She died Nov. 13, 2015, in Steamboat.

Marlon Lopez Martinez

OJO ENCINO, N.M. P Funeral services for Marlon Lopez Martinez, 30, of Ojo Encino, N.M., were held Nov. 14 at the Ojo Encino Mission Life Center with Christopher Trombetta officiating. Interment followed at the Ojo Encino Cemetery.

Marlon was born into the gshiihi (Salt People Clan), born for HashkUaa hadzohi (Yucca Fruit-Strung-out-in-a-Line Clan). He died Nov. 9, 2015, in Ramah, N.M.

Marlon attended Ojo Encino Day School and graduated from Cuba High School in 2003. He was currently employed with Beaty Construction since 2005. He enjoyed drawing, playing video games, hunting, reading, and spending time with family.

Marlon is survived by his wife, Rolinda Sandoval; son, Malakai Wrayshawn Martinez; parents, Irvin Daniel and Marlinda Martinez; brother, Warren Martinez; sister, Martina Martinez; and grandmother, Sue Martinez.

Marlon is preceded in death by Marie Lopez, Sam Martinez and Tommy Martinez Sr.

Pallbearers were Harris Lopez, Jeremiah Whalawitsa, Harold Lopez, Darrell Lopez, Brian Hoskie, Larry Sam, Randy Lopez, and Richard Martinez.

Daniels Family Funeral Services-Alameda Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
