Ronald Y. Hood

GALLUP — Graveside service for Ronald Y. Hood, 56, of Gallup, will be held today, Oct. 17, at 10 a.m., at Sunset Memorial Park in Gallup.

Ronald Y. Hood, April 14, 1968 – Sept. 18, 2024

Ronald was born April 14, 1968, in Gallup. He passed away Sept. 18, 2024, in Farmington.

Ronald loved bull riding and coaching his son’s summer basketball team.

Ronald is survived by his sons, Kyle Hood and LeVon Hood; mother, Eleanor Hood; brother, Marvin Hood; sister, Wanda Hood; and grandchild, Zayne Hood.

Pallbearers will be Pete Long, Zecharian Henderson, Xander Begay, Eric Begay, Josiah Draper, and Charleston Draper Jr.

Honorary pallbearers will be Kyle Hood, LeVon Hood, Brian Lee, and Marvin Hood.

Rollie Mortuary oversaw arrangements.

George Klain Jr.

Sept. 18, 2024 — Graveside service for George Klain Jr., 68, of Rough Rock, Arizona, was held Oct. 4 in Rough Rock, with Saraphena Begay officiating.

George was born Aug. 4, 1956, in Tuba City, into the Honágháahnii (One-walks-around Clan), born for Táchii’nii (Red Running Into the Water People Clan). He passed away Sept. 28, 2024, in Flagstaff.

George attended Rough Rock Community School and retired from the Chinle Indian Health Care Facility in 2014 and Rough Rock Community School in 2010. He enjoyed watching basketball, softball, football, and baseball. Cooking was his passion and expertise.

George is survived by his wife, Geraldine Klain; sons, Greg Klain and Georsetti Klain; father, George Klain Sr. of Kaibeto, Arizona; brothers, Herman Young, Marvin Klain and Walter Klain; sisters, Loretta Young-Noland and Darlene M. Dodson; and five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

George is preceded in death by his mother, Margret Sells-Klain; brother, Clarence Young; sister, Pasquletta Klain; and brother, Johnny Klain.

Pallbearers were Trevino Noland, Kendrick Noland, Josh Redhorse, Standford Young, Johnny Young, and Alexandra Young.

Honorary pallbearers were Herman Young, Terry Noland, Marvin Klain, Walter Klain, Andre Young, Malcom Young, and Cody Young.

Silver Creek Mortuary oversaw arrangements.

Kee B. Sansosie

NAZLINI, Ariz. — Graveside service for Kee B. Sansosie, 83, of Nazlini, Arizona, will be held today, Oct. 17, at 10 a.m., at the Nazlini community cemetery with Pastor Rudy Yellowhair officiating. Burial will follow in Nazlini.

Kee was born July 7, 1941, in Burntcorn, Arizona. He passed away Oct. 10, 2024, in Chinle.

Kee worked for Ferrellgas until retirement and loved spending time with family and playing with his grandchildren.

Kee is survived by his wife, Rosie Tsinajinnie; sons, Joseph, Everett, Aaron, and Tytus; daughters, Sophia, Vicky Ann, Elfreda, Valynthia, and Bianca; parents, Betty Sansosy and Edward Begay; brothers, Doe, Charles, Spencer, Howard, and Tom; sisters, Helen, Sara and Bessie; and 19 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Chad Sansosie, Ronald Tsinajinnie, Junior Goode, Marc Gorde, Tytus Sansosie, and Gilbert Rodgers.

Honorary pallbearers will be Everett Sansosie and Aaron Sansosie.

A reception will take place at the family residence (11.5 miles northwest of Nazlini Chapter House) following service.
