Shirley B. Henry
GALLUP – Funeral services for Shirley B. Henry, 87, of Gallup, will be held Saturday, Sept. 13, at 10 a.m., at the Bethany Church in Gallup, with Rev. Daniel DeVries officiating. Burial will follow in Rehoboth, New Mexico.

Shirley B. Henry, July 25, 1938 – Sept. 6, 2025
Shirley was born July 25, 1938, in Fort Wingate, New Mexico, into the Táchii’nii (Red Running Into the Water People Clan), born for Tódích’íi’nii (Bitter Water Clan). She passed away Sept. 6, 2025, in Gallup.
Shirley graduated high school from Rehoboth Mission in 1958 and attended nursing school at St. Vincent Hospital in Santa Fe. She worked at St. Mary’s Hospital in Gallup from 1959 to 1962 and at Fort Defiance Indian Hospital from 1969 to 2011.
Shirley enjoyed playing the piano, needle work, family gatherings, and baking bread and cookies, especially for Christmas.
Shirley is survived by her daughters, Karen Henry and Kim Henry, both of Gallup; brother, Raymond Barton of Gallup; and sister, Wilhelmina Matern of Phoenix.
Shirley is preceded in death by her husband, Harrison W. Henry; parents, Stewart and Jennie Barton; brother, Stewart Barton Jr.; and sisters, Virginia Cometsevah, and Sylvia Lee.
Pallbearers will be Isaiah Franchot, Isaiah Benally, Sheldon Barber, Brandon Barber, Walker Martin, Dustin Martin, Kyle Barton, and Robert Bowman.
Honorary pallbearers will be Wilhelmina Matern, Raymond Barton and Rhonda and Randell Clichee.
A reception will take place at the Bethany Church following services.

Rosemary Manymules Harvey
FLAGSTAFF – Funeral services for Rosemary Manymules Harvey, 80, of Tonalea, Arizona, were held Sept. 10 at the LDS Lake Mary Road in Flagstaff. Interment followed at the Arizona Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

Rosemary Manymules Harvey, Dec. 20, 1944 – Aug. 31, 2025
Rosemary was born Dec. 20, 1944, in Black Mesa, Arizona, into the Kinłichíi’nii (Red House People Clan), born for Naakaii dine’é (Mexican Clan). Her nálí is Tódích’íi’nii (Bitter Water); cheii is Dzaanééz łání (Many Mules). She passed away Aug. 31, 2025, in Moab, Utah.
Rosemary is survived by her husband, Dennis Harvey; and children, Phil Begay, Raine Cooper, Calvin Harvey, and Darren Harvey.

Marjorie J. Jones-Spencer
RED ROCK, N.M. – Funeral services for Marjorie J. Jones-Spencer, 66, of Red Rock, New Mexico, were held Sept. 8 at the Red Rock Church of God in Red Rock, with Sister Terry Goodin officiating. Interment followed in Rehoboth, New Mexico.

Marjorie J. Jones-Spencer, July 9, 1959 – Aug. 3, 2025
Marjorie was born July 9, 1959, in Black Rock, New Mexico, into the Naakaii dine’é (Mexican Clan), born for Tsi’naajinii (Black Streak Wood People Clan). She passed away Aug. 3, 2025, in Farmington.
Marjorie graduated from Gallup High School and the University of New Mexico. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, and was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Duke men’s basketball, Oklahoma softball, and the Texas Rangers.
Marjorie is survived by her son, Anthony Spencer Jr.; daughters, Anthlena Spencer, Anthnette Spencer and Anthlynn Spencer; mother, Helen Marie Jones; brother, Leon Jones; sisters, Gloria Etsitty, Stephanie Jones, Darlene Dayhoff, and Henrietta Jones; and three grandchildren.
Marjorie is preceded in death by her father, Henry B. Jones; sister, Marguerita Joe; maternal grandparents, Allen and Ruby Rosenburg; and paternal grandparents, John and Elizabeth Bahe.
Pallbearers were Anthony Spencer Jr., Leon Jones, Clayton Payaso, Toby Tafoya, Leander Harvey, and Devyn Harvey.
Honorary pallbearers were Holden Lucero, Andreas Joe, Stephanita Jones, Baby H., and Stephanecia, Stephanesha, Bryan, and Stephanekia Charlie.

Samuel D. Enoah
GALLUP – Funeral services for Samuel D. Enoah, 76, of Yatahey, New Mexico, will be held Friday, Sept. 12, at 8:30 a.m., at the Church of Christ in Gallup. Burial will follow at the City of Gallup Cemetery.

Samuel D. Enoah, Aug. 11, 1949 – Sept. 7, 2025
Samuel was born Aug. 11, 1949, in Hogback, New Mexico, into the Naasht’ézhí dine’é (Zuni Clan), born for ‘Áshįįhí (Salt People Clan). He passed away Sept. 7, 2025, in Yatahey.
Samuel attended Kirtland Central High School and worked for San Juan Mine from 1974 to 1976 and P&M Coal Mine from 1979 to 1996. He also worked as a heavy equipment operator for Union No. 1332.
Samuel enjoyed farming, carpentry, running, biking, and swimming.
Samuel is survived by his wife, Virgie Enoah; sons, Brandon Enoah and Preston Enoah; and daughters, Evangeline Enoah, Rotanya Enoah and Audrea Enoah.
Samuel is preceded in death by his son, Arlo Enoah; and daughter, Tamara Enoah.
A reception will take place at the Church of Christ following services.

Annie Bitsie
GALLUP – Funeral services for Annie Bitsie, 93, of Mexican Springs, New Mexico, will be held today, Sept. 11, at 10 a.m., at the St. Francis Church in Gallup, with Father David officiating. Burial will follow in Mexican Springs.
Annie was born Aug. 15, 1932, in Fort Defiance, into the Hashtł’ishnii (Mud Clan), born for Tódích’íi’nii (Bitter Water Clan). She passed away Sept. 5, 2025, in Gallup.
Annie worked and retired from the BIA Fort Wingate Elementary School.
Annie is survived by her sons, Joseph Bitsie Jr., Soloman Bitsie and Fernando Bitsie; daughters, Joann Davis, Sandra Bitsie and Anna Mae Bitsie; brothers, Leonard Belone, David Malone and Bennie Belone; sisters, Maggie Sam and Joanne Becenti; and seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Annie is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Bitsie Sr.; daughter, Cynthia Becenti; parents, Neal and Katherine Belone; brother, Saloman Belone; and sisters, Emma Malone, Ella Mae Thomas and Chloe Gray.
Pallbearers will be CR Davis, Michael Rico, Bryce Bitsie, Neal Bitsie, Connor Bitsie, and Justin Bitsie.
Honorary pallbearers will be Joseph Bitsie, Soloman Bitsie, Fernando Bitsie, Paul Davis, Leonard Belone, Bennie Belone, and David Malone.

Sally M. Taliman
HOLBROOK, Ariz. – Funeral services for Sally Mae Taliman, 84, of Cornfields, Arizona, were held Sept. 5 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Holbrook, Arizona. Interment followed at the Holbrook community cemetery.
Sally was born May 12, 1941, in Keams Canyon, Arizona, into the Tsi’naajinii (Black Streak Wood People Clan), born for Mą’ii deeshgiizhinii (Coyote Pass-Jemez Clan). Her nálí is Tábąąhá (Water’s Edge); cheii is Naakaii dine’é (Mexican). She passed away Aug. 29, 2025, in Phoenix.
Sally received a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Prescott Community College and an associate degree in education from the College of Ganado. She worked at Greasewood Community School (formerly Greasewood Boarding School), Ganado Unified School District, and Kin Dah Łichí’í Olta’ School.
Sally enjoyed traveling every day, dining out, shopping, cooking, baking, making beautiful jewelry, organizing family functions, nature walks, and watching Gunsmoke, Days of Our Lives, news, basketball, and football.
Sally’s favorite places to travel were Show Low, Arizona, and Laughlin, Nevada. Her favorite teams were the San Antonio Spurs and the Pittsburgh Steelers. She enjoyed spending time with her family and attending Azee’ Bee Nahaghá.
Sally is survived by her sons, Rickey Taliman, Charles Taliman, Patrick Taliman, and Marvin Taliman; daughters, Laura M. Begay, Charlene Farinas, Angelita Smith, and Tionne Taliman; brothers, Nathan David, Byron David and Neddy David; sisters, Virgie Yazzie, Geneva Begay, Jackie David, and Natalie David; and 28 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren.
Sally is preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Taliman; mother, Mary David; father, Joe David; brothers, Eugene David and Robert David; sister, Zella Singer; nieces, Nanetta David and Regina Yazzie; nephew, Christopher David; granddaughter, Penny Renae Hill; and grandsons, O’Brian Nielson Clan and Tyrick Jordan Taliman.
Pallbearers were Rickey Taliman, Charles Taliman, Patrick Taliman, Marvin Taliman, Colin Taliman, and Keith Long.
