Geoffery Claw

MANY FARMS, Ariz. — A tent service for Geoffery Claw, 38, of Many Farms, Ariz., was held Oct. 1 at the tent service site (north Highway 191, mile marker 465, north of Many Farms).

Geoffery was born May 1, 1976, in Ganado, Ariz., into the Tó’áhani (Near the Water Clan), born for Deeshchii’nii (Start of the Red Streak People Clan). He died Sept. 27, 2014, in Chinle.

Geoffery is survived by his parents, George and Rose Claw; brother, Gorlando Claw; and sisters, Georgena Claw and Katrina Claw.

Tse Bonito Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.

Eisenhower “Ike” Reid

Eisenhower “Ike” Reid died Sept. 27, 2014, in Salt Lake City, after a long illness. He was 61.

He was born November 5, 1952, in Tuba City.

Mr. Reid had been a sheepherder in western Navajo, near the confluence of the Colorado and Little Colorado rivers, at a camp known as Sagebrush. He was Tsi’naajinii, born for Tódich’ii’nii. Maternal grandparents are Tábąąhá  and paternal grandparents are Kiyaa’áanii.

He graduated from Intermountain High School in Brigham City, Utah, and was a migrant farmworker before moving to San Jose, Calif., for training to become a construction welder. He worked at Black Mesa, building coal-mining rigs.

When he returned from high school, Ike had adapted to new musical taste, which intensified during welding training in the Bay Area. The Beatles, the Mamas and the Papas, Pink Floyd, Fleetwood Mac, the Thunderbirds, and other rock-n-roll music punctuated the nighttime air normally filled with traditional Country & Western sounds in the sheep camps where he grew up.

He was a sports fanatic, and a fan of the Arizona Cardinals NFL football team and Phoenix Suns basketball team.

Ike is survived by a daughter, Dorthea Preston; sons, Eisenhower “Sonny” Reid Jr.  and Trent M. Reid; and two grandchildren; his mother, Dorothy Reid; sisters, Earlene Reid and Betty Reid; and a brother, Willie Long Reed.

Services are 10 a.m. today (Thursday, Oct. 2, 2014) in Bodaway, 21 miles west of Tuba City.

Margaret Domingo

NAGEEZI, N.M. – Funeral services for Margaret (Valdez) Domingo will be held Saturday, Oct. 4, at 10 a.m. at the Heavenbound Community Church in Nageezi, N.M.

Margaret was born Aug. 28, 1956, to the late Halamin Valdez and the late Cecila Wero in Otis, N.M. She died Sept. 25, 2014.

Margaret is survived by her husband, Evangelist Jerry Domingo Sr.; daughters, Geraldine M. Domingo, Jerlinda Frank (Bryan Frank), Jerricah Caseman (Chris Caseman), Jerrissa J. Domingo, and Jereigna H. Domingo; sons, Jerald M. (Jake) Domingo, Jerry Domingo Jr., and Jeremy C. Domingo; stepson, Terry Domingo; sisters, Irene Augustine,ÊMagdelene Valdez, Camelia Clah, and Ruthie Locke; brothers, Paul Valdez, Johnny Valdez and Stanley Valdez; and 15 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Margaret is preceded in death by her parents, Halamin Valdez and Cecila Wero; daughter, Jerdania R. Domingo; son, Jeremiah J. Domingo; and stepdaughter, Jerelene Domingo.

Margaret is in the care of Desert View Funeral Home in Shiprock.

Jeremiah Joe (M.J.) Domingo

NAGEEZI, N.M. – Funeral services for Jeremiah Joe (M.J.) Domingo will be held Saturday, Oct. 4, at 10 a.m. at the Heavenbound Community Church in Nageezi, N.M.

Jeremiah was born May 29,1984, to Evangelist Jerry Domingo Sr. and the late Margaret Domingo. He died Sept. 25, 2014.

Jerdania Rae Domingo

NAGEEZI, N.M. – Funeral services for Jerdania Rae Domingo will be held Saturday, Oct. 4, at 10 a.m. at the Heavenbound Community Church in Nageezi, N.M.

Jerdania was born March 22, 1986, to Evangelist Jerry Domingo Sr. and the late Margaret Domingo. She died Sept. 25, 2014.

Jerdania is survived by her daughters, Nikkia R. Napoleon, Tymia X. Napoleon and Jordyn R. Domingo; sisters, Geraldine Domingo, Jerlinda Frank (Bryan Frank), Jerricah Caseman (Chris Caseman), Jerrissa J. Domingo, and Jereigna H. Domingo; brothers, Terry Domingo,ÊJerald M. Charles Edmond Salabiye Sr.

NAZLINI, Ariz. — Funeral services for Charles Edmond Salabiye Sr., 81, of Nazlini, Ariz., were held Sept. 30 at the Nazarene Church in Nazlini, with Justin Johnson officiating. Interment and a reception followed in Nazlini.

Charles was born June 5, 1933, in Salina, Ariz., into the T—dich’ii’nii (Bitter Water Clan), born for Tsi’naajinii (Black Streak Wood People Clan). He died Sept. 25, 2014, in Chinle.

Charles was employed with various jobs on the Navajo Nation, federal government, and retired from Chinle and Nazlini BIA as a facility maintenance worker.

Charles enjoyed singing, traditional dance, card games, rodeos, sports, outdoor carpentry work, cooking, socials, shopping, traveling and storytelling.

Charles is survived by his sons, Matthew E. Salabiye, Charles E. Salabiye Jr., Nathaniel E. Salabiye, Everett E. Salabiye, and Carlos E. Salabiye; daughters, Charlene E. King and Charlotte S. Mitchell; brother, Denny E. Salabiye Sr.; sister, Irene Totsoni; and 25 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Charles is preceded in death by Jennie Whitney Salabiye and Daniel Edmond Salabiye.

Pallbearers were Matthew E. Salabiye, Charles E. Salabiye Jr., Nathaniel E. Salabiye, Everett E. Salabiye, Carlos E. Salabiye, and Duane King.

Rose Mae Williams

CHINLE — Graveside service for Rose Mae Williams, 67, of Chinle, were held Sept. 30 at the Chinle community cemetery.

Rose was born Sept. 15, 1947, in Many Farms, Ariz., into the T—dich’ii’nii (Bitter Water Clan), born for Ta’neeszahnii (Tangle Clan). She died Sept. 25, 2014, at the University of New Mexico Hospital in Albuquerque.

Rose was a homemaker and enjoyed making pottery, sewing and needle crafting.

Rose is survived by her husband, Jimmy Williams; sons, Orvill James Williams, Alex James Williams, Calleo James Williams, and Justin Williams; daughters, Angelena Williams, Angelita Talk, Veronica Manning, Lucille Jumbo, and Lavonda Williams; brother, Frankie Dan; sisters, Lucy Dougi and Alice Dan; and 30 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Rose is preceded in death by Dan Dan, Dasbah Dan, Lee Dan, and Edward Dan.

Pallbearers were Alex James Williams, Calleo James Williams, Justin Williams, Felix Bahe, Zeddrick J. Roy, and James Williams.

Honorary pallbearers were Christopher James Williams, Dana Ari Williams, Orvill James Williams, Ricky William Jumbo, and Xavier Daniel Notah.
