The Page football team is heading back to the state playoffs.

In a battle for first place in New Mexico’s District 1-3A, the Thoreau Hawks crushed the Wingate Bears, 48–0, on Friday during their Senior Night game to claim the district crown.

The Red Mesa football team opened last Thursday night’s game with authority, forcing turnovers and converting big plays early to jump out to a commanding lead before holding off the Valley Pirates 44–22.
