AIRCA Membership Drive Rodeo set for April 27

TOHATCHI, N.M. — The All Indian Rodeo Cowboys Association is the oldest Native American rodeo association in the United States since 1957.

The association has survived for 67 years and is still promoting sportsmanship among rodeo contestants and raising competition standards to develop rodeoing as a leading sport, providing wholesome entertainment on and off the Navajo Reservation.

AIRCA will hold its Membership Drive Rodeo at the Sheriff’s Posse Arena in Bernalillo, New Mexico, on April 27. AIRCA has added more rodeos this season for the benefit of the contestants, sponsors, and audience.

Membership cards are $50 for this weekend. Membership cards will increase to $60 after this rodeo. Buy a card so points will be counted.

AIRCA has not yet awarded the 2023 champions but will do this as soon as it completes its membership for this season and last. Please understand that this new administration started with a zero balance in its treasurer, and now it has established funds where we can make these awards possible through monetary donations.

AIRCA was left with no funds, financial report, and records of the previous administration plus unpaid accounts, but did what they had to do to keep AIRCA for its cowboys and cowgirls.
