The New Mexico 12-team state brackets for boys and girls soccer were released on Sunday by the New Mexico Activities Association.

The streak is finally over. The Miyamura girls soccer team scored its first win over Aztec in several years. Miyamura found the back of the net twice in Thursday’s 2-0 win over the Lady Tigers at the Angelo Dipaolo Memorial Stadium in Gallup.

For a team that lost eight seniors to graduation last season, the Rehoboth Christian boys soccer team is off to a phenomenal start.

After leading their respective teams in the state playoffs Rehoboth Christian’s Liam Bia and Aztec’s Rheala Herrera were both named the Navajo Times’ Boys and Girls Soccer Players of the Year.
