The Farmington track team walked away with eight medals during last week’s New Mexico Class 5A state track meet, which included a pair of gold and silver medals.

Window Rock junior Bearren Kee missed the podium by two spots on Friday during the Arizona Interscholastic Association Division IV Championships.

Holbrook sprinter Williams Kinds was looking for some validation. He received that by making the finals of the 100-meter race at the Arizona Interscholastic Association Division IV Championships on Saturday.

The Arizona Interscholastic Association concluded its divisional track championships on Saturday with Chinle’s Janessa Segay, Page’s Symond Martin and Greyhills Academy’s Benjamin Miera capturing gold in their respective long-distance races.

New personal records were set for a handful of area athletes on the first day of the New Mexico state track meet.
