A Diné artist has partnered with the founder of Comic-Con to sell original oil paintings in the format of collectible trading cards.

Cheryl Todicheeney is a grandmother and a U.S. Marine Corps veteran from Teesto, Arizona. An avid reader and aspiring writer, she submitted this children’s story to encourage conversation about addiction and its many forms. Todicheeney is seeking an illustrator to develop the story into a book.

A mother and daughter from the Ganado area are taking Navajo weaving patterns from vertical looms into a new rug line set to debut March 6, 2026, at the Heard Museum in Phoenix.
