Navajo Nation Fair sees slight increase in 4-H exhibitors

With 83 exhibitors, the Lorene C. Lee Pavilion will be bustling with 4-H and National FFA Organization members at this year’s Navajo Nation Fair.
Exhibitors from 18 local 4-H clubs will showcase their animals during the Navajo Nation Junior Livestock Show. Some members will also present indoor projects and take part in the archery contest, which is making its debut.
That is up from 74 exhibitors last year, according to Roqui Lee, the new Navajo Nation Fair 4-H event coordinator.
“You know, 83 is good number,” Lee said. “I think we can always strive for more, but in reality, gas prices are up, feed prices for animals are up and the cost of living is up, but we’re very fortunate that we did get 83 exhibiters for 4-H, FFA and boosters.”
