San Juan College student Cassie Frank, Diné/Navajo, was recently crowned Ms. Indigenous San Juan College 2021-22.

Matthew Cornelius Jr., from Zuni, a Pima Community College student in Tucson, donated the $1,000 prize for being named New Mexico’s 2021 Gatorade baseball player of the year to the Zuni Youth Enrichment Project.

With shovels dug into the backyard of the Na’Neelzhiin Ji’ Olta School, students, teachers, Family and Child Education staff, supporters and workers celebrated a groundbreaking Monday for the school’s first garden hoop house.

As the new academic school year begins, Navajo Tribal Utility Authority awarded $190,000 in postsecondary scholarships to 95 students for the 2021-22 academic school year.
