
‘V-I-C-T-O-R-Y’: Central Agency Spelling Bee highlights academic excellence at Tsaile Public School

TSAILE, Ariz. – The gymnasium at Tsaile Public School was filled with nerves and excitement on Feb. 26 as students from across the area gathered for the Navajo Times/Office of Diné Youth Central Agency Spelling Bee.

The most intense showdown of the day featured eighth graders Christopher Werito and Arianna Kee, whose hard-fought battle in the final rounds captivated the audience.
Werito, a student at Tsaile Public School, emerged as the eighth-grade champion after multiple rounds of back-and-forth competition. “I studied for about two hours last night,” Werito said. “I wasn’t nervous. I just went out there and did my best.”
