Fire danger is high

FORT DEFIANCE – The Department of Interior US Wildland Fire Service, Fire Management, Navajo Region, has elevated the fire danger to high. Be cautious of any type of outdoor burning such as cooking or campfires. Always contain the fire and extinguish with lots of water when finished. Do not burn trash. For cultural or ceremonial burn registrations, call Navajo Nation EPA at 928-729-4246. To report a wildfire, call Navajo Region Fire Dispatch at 928-205-3459.
