Navajo police officer involved shooting in Alamo

GALLUP

A Navajo Nation Police officer was involved in a shooting in Alamo, New Mexico, this evening.

Navajo Nation Police Chief Phillip Francisco confirmed on Friday an officer shot a person twice.

Francisco said the suspect attacked the officer with a weapon. He did not elaborate.

The suspect’s condition has not been released.

Francisco said the incident is currently being investigated.
