FORT DEFIANCE

Emilio Blinkey and Brian Jones, the nucleus of Many Farms Lobos, will play a final game of their high school baseball career this Saturday in the Arizona Baseball Coaches Association Divisions IV-V North – South All-Star Baseball game.

The first pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Goodyear Stadium, Major League Baseball spring training home of the Cleveland Indians and Cincinnati Reds.

Second-year Many Farms head baseball coach Shawn Deschine said it is a great honor to have two Many Farms players selected to participate in the state’s season ending high school baseball game.

“The all-star game brings together the best and top baseball players in Divisions IV and V in a final game of the young men’s careers,” Deschine said.
“Many Farms’ Emilio Blinkey and Brian Jones are the only two players from the northern part of the state to be selected. Both Emilio and Brian had outstanding seasons. They deserve to be honored and to be selected to the ABCA All-Star Baseball game.”

As North selections, Blinkey and Jones are expected to play infield and pitcher during the nine inning contest, where college and professional scouts will be in the stands, monitoring each player’s performance.

“The two were our team leaders,” Deschine said. “They have performance tremendously since they donned Many Farms uniforms.”
