On Friday evening, Holbrook’s Lady Roadrunners traveled to face its longtime rival, the Winslow Lady Bulldogs, on their home turf. The game went into an extra-inning as both teams steadily chased one another, but ultimately Winslow walked away with the win 11-10.

In a tune-up to playing defending 4A state champs Artesia on Saturday, the Gallup softball team pounded out 15 hits against 5A Farmington on Wednesday afternoon.

On Saturday, Chinle hosted Page High for a doubleheader. It was close.
