Trusting one another was the most important element that made up the Bloomfield softball team.

In a game marked with controversy, Payson junior Arissa Paulson denied the Winslow softball team from reaching its seventh straight trip to the state championship game.

The prep baseball season ended on Saturday for the four area schools that made the Arizona Division III state playoffs.

It wasn’t Window Rock, Chinle and Page’s day as the three area schools were eliminated in the opening round of the Arizona Division III State Softball Tournament at Rose Mofford Complex in Phoenix last Saturday.

And just like that, the Page baseball team assumed total control of the Division III, Section I race.
