In a battle for the district’s overall top seed, the Gallup softball team prevailed with a tough 3-1 win over Aztec on Thursday night.

The one-day Hopi Baseball Invite allotted teams such as Greyhills Academy, Piñon and Red Mesa to work on their games.

The Sanders Valley baseball team came into the Hopi Invite shorthanded.

The Gallup softball team made every hit and every out count.

It didn’t take long for a little rust to wear off for the Chinle baseball team.
