The Flagstaff girls basketball team had to shake off some rust on Thursday night.

The Rehoboth Christian Lynx (19-8) extended their winning streak to 13 games with a commanding 79-36 victory over the Hózhó Academy Wolves (15-11) in the District 1-2A tournament semifinal game on Wednesday night at Rehoboth High School.

The Gallup Bengals ended the Shiprock Chieftains’ tournament run with a decisive fourth-quarter performance, securing a 56-46 victory.

The fifth-seeded Page Sand Devils saw their championship hopes slip away in the fourth quarter Friday night, falling to 11th-seeded Pusch Ridge Christian 53-43 in the quarterfinal of the Arizona Interscholastic Association 3A boys state tournament.

The Rock Point Lady Cougars’ playoff journey came to a heartbreaking end last Friday as they fell to the St. David Lady Tigers, 38-29, in a tough postseason battle.
