Diné cowgirl Danielle Lowman has built an impeccable resume as a member of the Women’s Professional Rodeo Association.
Lowman has reached the year-end finals in three of the previous five years in the breakaway roping event. After missing last year’s National Finals Breakaway Roping, the Gilbert, Arizona is looking to be in the mix for this year’s finals, which was rebranded and moved from Las Vegas, Nevada, to the newly remodeled Will Rogers Coliseum in Fort Worth, Texas.
The event was renamed the National Finals Breakaway Roping (NFBR) by the WPRA, and the finals will take place Dec 18-19 in the Lone Star State.
“Every year it’s been go, go, go for me, but this year we’re picking and choosing where to go,” Lowman said. “I kind of slowed down a little bit by going to my circuit rodeos, but we’re trying to build some momentum for the summer rodeos.”
