Wings of America girls team field elite runners

Wings of America program director Dustin Martin believes this year’s junior women’s team is one of the strongest ever to compete in the USA Cross-Country Championships.
Martin said year-after-year the team has always had strong individual runners. He said this year’s team is filled with talented runners.
“We always compete in the nationals with strong runners and this year we’re competing with a strong team,” Martin said. “There was so much talented runners that turned in qualifying times, it was very difficult to make the team.”
Wings of America junior women’s team is represented by seven runners, who will compete in this Saturday’s national meet at Boulder, Colo.
“Wings of America will showcase the best Native American junior women’s team at the national meet,” Martin said. “Wings of America is excited about this year’s team.”
Wings of America’s junior women’s team is coached by Tamara Lementino. She is a coach at Rio Rancho High School in Albuquerque.
Wings of America junior women’s team includes Daangoiina Haven, Chamique DuBoise, Annoesika Laughlin, Esther Beck, Courtney Lewis, Nikesha Eagleman and Sierra Delaware.
