Rehoboth Christian’s Sage West (11) celebrates with her teammates after defeating Ramah during the Alexandra DeArmond Memorial Volleyball Tournament Saturday evening at Rehoboth Christian High School.
The Lady Lynx did that at the service line as Rehoboth (6-1) swept the Ramah Lady Mustangs (6-5) in the gold bracket of the 24-team tournament. The set scores were 27-25, 25-21, 25-16.
“Ramah is a good team, and I can’t take anything away from them,” Rehoboth coach Char Chapman said. “It came down to serving because every time we got ourselves in a hole, it was our serves that pulled us out.”
After trading side outs to start the opening set, Ramah used a 6-2 run to go up 13-10 behind a pair of kills from senior middle hitter Geneva Nabours.
