As people sat down at tables covered with white linen, students from Navajo Technical University hustled and bustled in the kitchen.

When brothers Nayo and KeHugh Swan first learned that their local community center faced closure due to lack of funding, they wanted to help raise funds to keep it open.

The goal was to give the local elders a day of fun.

City leaders came under severe criticism on Jan. 28 as community members gathered together to voice their concerns about the border town.
