Equipment problems delay TMC emergency, pharmacy care
WINDOW ROCK
Tséhootsooí Medical Center’s emergency department and pharmacy are seeing longer wait times because of separate equipment problems, according to notices issued June 3 and June 6.
The emergency department delay affects patients who need imaging services, especially CT scans. Emergency services remain open while the medical center works to repair the equipment and return services to full capacity.
Patients who go to the emergency department may wait longer. The department will continue to triage patients, with those in critical condition seen as quickly as possible.
The June 6 notice did not state when the CT equipment issue is expected to be resolved.
In a June 3 notice, Tséhootsooí Medical Center stated that patients may experience longer waits for refrigerated medications because of equipment problems. Refrigerated medications can only be filled in person.
Patients picking up refrigerated medications may need to allow more time while the pharmacy works to bring services back to full capacity.
