Ask yourselves, why are we, the farmers, being threatened and punished? Why is the Shiprock Farm Board so “passionate” about taking away valid farm permits from certain farmers?

I was inspired to write this when I saw in the May 6 edition Jack Ahasteen’s editorial cartoon on Page A6, and Rima Krisst’s article, which begins on Page A8.

Am I a victim or survivor? Both. I’ve been victim to abuse (sexual, physical, emotional) and survived unimaginable traumas.
