Navajo Co. Sheriff’s report – Sept. 19 to Sept. 25
HOLBROOK, Ariz.
The Navajo County Sheriff’s Office reports the following activity from Sunday, Sept. 19, through Saturday, Sept. 25.
On Sept. 19, deputies responded to an assault call in Sun Valley. Deputies were unable to locate the suspect and on Sept. 20 located John Wayne Culpepper, 18, of Phoenix, and arrested him for assault, theft of property, and preventing use of a telephone in an emergency.
On Sept. 19, during a traffic stop, deputies arrested Joseph Guffey, 42, of Pinedale, for DUI to the slightest and DUI/drugs.
On Sept. 19, during a traffic stop in Lakeside, Tammy Marie Snyder, 53, of Show Low, was arrested and booked into Navajo County Jail on charges of taking the identity of another person, refusing to provide truthful name when lawfully detained, failure to stop for a peace officer, failure to provide a driver’s license, displaying fictious license plate, and driving on a suspended license. She was also cited for failure to provide motor vehicle responsibility (insurance) and speed greater than reasonable and prudent.
On Sept. 20 in Overgaard, Sara Snyder, 42, of Overgaard, was arrested and booked into the Navajo County Jail for disorderly conduct/domestic violence and assault/domestic violence.
On Sept. 20, deputies arrested Markie Antonio, 36, of Whiteriver, and transported him to Navajo County Jail Annex for assault/domestic violence, disorderly conduct/domestic violence, and threatening.
On Sept. 20, a suspicious person was reported in Lakeside. Justin Wood, 31, of Pinetop, was arrested and booked into the Navajo County Jail in Holbrook for consuming liquor in a vehicle.
On Sept. 21, Jesse Bergey, 29, of Lakeside, was arrested and booked into Navajo County Jail for criminal damage and disorderly conduct.
On Sept. 21, 2021, an assault on a medical staff member at the Navajo County Jail in Holbrook resulted in aggravated assault charges for Yokonna James, 36, of Winslow.
On Sept. 22, deputies responded to the Chevlon Ranch area, between Heber and Holbrook, for a call regarding a subject threatening to use a firearm. Deputies located Craig William Southworth, 60, of Heber, and arrested and transported him to the Navajo County Jail on charges of disorderly conduct/domestic violence.
On Sept. 22, deputies arrested and booked into Navajo County Jail Jedidiah Hammon, 31, of Snowflake. He was charged with kidnapping, custodial interference/domestic violence, aggravated assault/domestic violence and child/vulnerable adult abuse/domestic violence.
On Sept. 23, deputies observed a vehicle parked in a no parking zone in Holbrook. The driver had an outstanding arrest warrant. Jason Brian Lenstrom, 33, of Scottsdale, was arrested and transported to the Navajo County Jail for a warrant for possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.
On Sept. 23, the White Mountain Apache Police requested assistance with a non-tribal member who crashed into a fence at the Hon-Dah Casino in Pinetop. Thomas Guerin, 50, of Springerville, was arrested and booked into Navajo County Jail for DUI.
