Nayback tells Beecher to step aside in ZenniHome investigation

TÓNANEESDIZÍ

Special Prosecutor Kyle T. Nayback is calling on Navajo Nation acting Attorney General Kris Beecher and a private law firm hired by the Navajo Nation Department of Justice to step aside from the ZenniHome investigation, saying he has legal authority under Navajo Nation law.

Nayback said he took action to stop what he described as an unauthorized investigation into ZenniHome and Indigenous Design Studio + Architect, known as IDSA. He said under Navajo Nation Code Title 2, Section 2021(J), he has jurisdiction over the matter, including the ZenniHome investigation.

Nayback said the Special Division of the Window Rock District Court appointed him to investigate possible unethical and illegal conduct tied to Executive Branch contracts with ZenniHome and IDSA.
