Shooting reported at Chinle High School homecoming dance

Reports are emerging of a shooting that allegedly occurred during a homecoming dance at Chinle High School on Saturday night. Navajo Police is currently on the scene investigating the situation.

At this time, details remain unclear, but there are no injuries, according to the Chinle Police Department early Sunday morning. Police say an alleged shooter has been apprehended. They did not elaborate on where the shooting took place.

A spokesperson for the Navajo Nation has not yet released an official statement, but updates are expected as the investigation unfolds.
