Rodeo, dancing, pageants and the Troublesome Mud Bogg were among Saturday’s events at the 31st Annual Ramah Navajo Fair and Rodeo.

This year’s fair carried the theme “Soil to Soul, Growing a Healthier Community.” The final schedule included a Miss Ramah Navajo Pageant fashion show Thursday, followed by the main fair activities Friday through Sunday.
Saturday’s schedule included a parade, basketball tournament, 3D archery shoot, junior livestock show, carnival, AIRCA Open Show Rodeo, chainsaw contest and gourd dance. The afternoon brought the Troublesome Mud Bogg, Miss Ramah Navajo Pageant traditional competition, goat roping, fry bread contest and Wild Horse Race.
The Acoma Family Dance Group also performed Saturday evening. Karianna Begay was crowned the 2026-27 Miss Ramah Navajo Princess, succeeding Treyana Lynn Charley, while Akeelah Padilla was crowned the 2026-27 Miss Ramah Navajo Queen.
Other evening events included the Joe Tessay Crown Dance Group, Warrior Nation Bull Bash and a country western dance.
The fair was scheduled to close Sunday with a 5K and 10K run and walk, cowboy church, volleyball and basketball tournaments, carnival and Open Show Rodeo.
