Mary C. Martin
(Oct. 29, 1949 — April 15, 2023)
Mary’s greatest accomplishment was her never-ending love and service for the Lord. She dedicated her life to helping others.
For 50-plus years, Mary served the Native American community by working as a youth advocate and working with those who needed love, support, faith, prayer, and food. Her heart was huge and she seemed to have enough energy, wisdom, hugs, prayers, and love for every single person who crossed her path.
Mary’s passion was always to follow the path that the Lord set forth for her, and although that passion did come with struggle and sacrifice, she always knew that if she was working for the Lord that He would always prevail and that His will would be done. She wanted to be a blessing to all those she encountered and shared so many laughs, smiles, positivity, and faith.
Mary asked all those who loved her not to be sad when God called her home, instead she wanted all of us to carry in our hearts the comfort and knowledge of knowing that she loved us all just as God loves us and know that we will see her again in Heaven one day if we surrender ourselves to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Mary is survived by her husband, Edward Martin Sr.; sons, Edward Martin Jr. and Bobby Martin; daughters, Barbie Williams, Rita Adair and Dawn Manuelito; and 17 grandchildren.

The Navajo Times thanks you for being a valued reader. We truly appreciate your trust and support. We would like to inform our readers of a new service fee for obituary submissions. This decision was not made lightly, but it has become necessary because of rising printing costs. The cost of producing the Navajo Times, including paper, ink and printing plates, has continued to increase. Beginning July 2, 2026, obituary announcements will be $25. Photos will be an additional $5 per photo. Military announcements will remain free of charge with a military insignia as we continue to honor our veterans. Despite this change, we remain committed to providing quality printing services as families share and honor the lives of their loved ones. If you have an obituary you would like to submit, follow this link to the online submission form. We look forward to serving you.
