GALLUP — Funeral services for Cora K. Endito, 74, will be held Friday, April 26, at 11 a.m. at Rollie Mortuary in Gallup, with Pastor Mark Thomas of the Iyanbito Gospel Lighthouse Church officiating. Burial will follow at the Rehoboth cemetery in Rehoboth, New Mexico. Cora was born Oct. 23, 1944, in Iyanbito, New Mexico, into the Tábaahá (Water’s Edge Clan), born for Kinyaa’áanii (Towering House Clan). She passed away April 20, 2019, in Albuquerque.

Cora is a 1963 graduate of Gallup High School and attended business school in Albuquerque. She retired as a Navajo Head Start educator after 23 years and worked at the Iyanbito Senior Citizens Center.

Cora was a talented seamstress and created beautiful crafts. She enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Cora is survived by her sons, Darwin Endito of Albuquerque, Melvin Endito of North Salt Lake, Utah, Raymond Endito Jr. of Heber City, Utah, Merle Endito and Todd Etsitty, both of Iyanbito; brother, Ray King; and sisters, Bernice Willie and Beatrice Johnson, both of Iyanbito, and Geraldine King of Gallup.

Cora is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Endito Sr. and Joseph Etsitty; daughter, Shirleen Endito; son, Daryl Endito; mother, Minnie King Enrike; and father, Buck King. Pallbearers will be Darwin Endito, Raymond Endito Jr., Todd Etsitty, Tony Hale, Gerald Willie and Eric King. A reception will take place at the Iyanbito Chapter House following services. Rollie Mortuary is taking care of arrangements.

Thomas Attson

FLAGSTAFF — Rosary and mass for Thomas Paul Attson were held April 24 at the San Francisco De Asís Catholic Church in Flagstaff. Thomas was born April 21, 1963, in Gallup.

He passed away April 16, 2019, surrounded by his family at the Hospice of the Valley Eckstein Center in Scottsdale, Arizona. Thomas attended Chinle Public School (elementary and middle) and David Douglas High School in Portland, Oregon. While in high school, he graduated with honors and was selected to State of Oregon’s Scholar program.

After graduation, he attended Arizona State University and graduated with a degree in criminal justice. Thomas is survived by his mother, Shirley Stoner; and son, Ahrais Teller.

Thomas is preceded in death by his father, Francis Attson; twin sisters, Francine and Francelia Attson; and brother, Glenn Stoner II. Memories and condolences can be shared online at www.norvelowensmortuary.com.

GALLUP — Funeral services for Donny James Jones, 37, will be held today, April 25, at 10 a.m. at Rollie Mortuary in Gallup. Burial will follow at the Tohatchi community cemetery in Tohatchi, New Mexico.

Donny was born Dec. 25, 1981, in Gallup, into the Táchii’nii Naasht’ézhí (Red Running Into the Water People Clan), born for Kiyaa’áanii (Towering House Clan). His nali is Bit’ahnii (Under His Cover); chei is Naakai dine’é (Mexican). He passed away April 18, 2019, in Albuquerque. Donny graduated from Central High School and received a bachelor’s degree in business administration in 2006 from New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, New Mexico.

He worked for various employers: The Vanguard Group, Navajo Housing Authority, Navajo Tribal Utility Authority, Indian Health Services and McKinley County. Donny enjoyed ranching, farming, weaving rugs, beading, cooking and was an avid Norte Dame fan. He was a loving, caring individual of his family and friends.

Donny is survived by his parents, Mattie and Donald Jones; sons, Shane Jones and Dontaye Jones; sisters, Lashonda Begay, Trivia Etcitty, Tiffany Jones and Tanya Jones; and brother, Matthew Jones. Donny is preceded in death by his sister, Tracy Jones; grandmother, Mary Ann Begay; and paternal grandparents, Nazbah and Charlie Jones.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Jones, Jason Oyebi, Benjamin Jones Jr., Darrick Jones, Gabriel Begay, Jeremy Harlan, Parnelli James Jr., Gavril Begay, Shane Jones and Leland Skeets. Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Brandon Byron Billie

FORT DEFIANCE — Funeral services for Brandon Byron Billie, 21, of Blue Canyon, Arizona, will be held today, April 25, at 10 a.m. at The Potter’s House in Fort Defiance, with Pastor Haven officiating. Burial will follow in Fort Defiance.

Brandon was born Dec. 19, 1997, in Fort Defiance, into the Tódích’íi’nii (Bitter Water Clan), born for Naakai dine’é (Mexican Clan). He passed away April 19, 2019, in Blue Canyon. Brandon attended Fort Defiance Elementary School and Saint Joseph High School in Joseph City, Arizona. He worked at Blake’s Lotaburger in Tse Bonito, New Mexico, Subway in Chinle, and Southwest Conservation Corp in Gallup.

Brandon enjoyed hunting, lighting fireworks, weight lifting, listening to music, watching comedy movies and loved shearing and spending time with his son and family.

Brandon is survived by his girlfriend, Glora Yoe; son, O’Brian Billie; mother, Regina Tsosie; father, Albert Billie Sr.; stepfather, Keith Tsosie; brothers, Albert Billie Jr., Chester Billie, Jimmy Billie, Patrick Billie and Paterson Billie; and sisters, Alberta Billie, Bertha Billie and Crystal Billie. Brandon is preceded in death by Christina Billie, Jimmy Scott, Gloria Scott, Ben Billie, Juanita Yazzie, Peterson Billie and Kylelisha Shonie. Pallbearers will be Cory Barney, Paterson Billie, Albert Billie Jr., Fabian Nez, Kyle Thompson, Nelson Scott and Nelson Scott Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Edison Billie, Leonard Yazzie and Keith Tsosie. A reception will take place at the Fort Defiance Chapter House following services.

SHIPROCK — Funeral services for Paul Sherman, 88, of Sheepsprings, New Mexico, were held April 19 at the Desert View Funeral Home Chapel in Shiprock. Interment followed at the Sheepsprings community cemetery. Paul was born Feb. 11, 1931, in Sheepsprings. He passed away April 15, 2019. Desert View Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
