GALLUP – Graveside service for Helen Long, 87, of Twin Lakes, New Mexico, was held Aug. 5 at the Gallup City Cemetery with Johnathan Tayah officiating.
Helen Long, Dec. 7, 1938 – July 30, 2026
Helen was born Dec. 7, 1938, in Twin Lakes, into the Táchii’nii (Red Running Into the Water People Clan), born for Tábąąhá (Water’s Edge Clan). She passed away July 30, 2026, in Twin Lakes.
Helen was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing and silversmithing.
Helen is survived by her sons, Emerson Long Sr. and Wallace Long Jr.; daughter, Lavern Willie; and 17 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.
Helen is preceded in death by her husband, Wallace C. Long Sr.
Pallbearers were Cryrell Benally, Makiah Long, Talan Long, Cash Long, Jace Becenti and Dewayne Long.
Honorary pallbearers were Charles Willie, Arnold Yazzie and Alvin Willie.
Cope Memorial oversaw arrangements.
Irene J. Lee
YATAHEY, N.M. – Funeral services for Irene Jane Lee, 77, of China Springs, New Mexico, will be held Monday, Aug. 10, at 10 a.m., at The Lighthouse Ministries Church in Yatahey, New Mexico. Burial will follow in Gallup.
Irene J. Lee, Aug. 18, 1948 – July 31, 2026
Irene was born Aug. 18, 1948, in Fort Defiance, into the Táchii’nii (Red Running Into the Water People Clan), born for Tábąąhá (Water’s Edge Clan). Her nálí is ‘Áshįįhí (Salt People); cheii is Kiyaa’áanii (Towering House). She passed away July 31, 2026, in Gallup.
Irene enjoyed cooking, sewing, crossword puzzles, spending time with family, and socializing and singing in church.
Irene is survived by her sons, Patrick Lee and Jason Lee; daughters, Colleen Lee and Marina Lee-Upshaw; and 25 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
Irene is preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Lee Sr.; parents, Isaac James and Edith Howard; daughter, Janilee Delgado; sons, David James Sr. and Jasper Lee; and brothers, Frank, Gilbert and Paul James.
Pallbearers will be Darren Natoni, Malcolm Natoni, Lathan Robinson, Tremayne James, Josiah Lee and Josias K. Yazzie.
Honorary pallbearers will be Zachariah Grey, Cordell Grey, Xylan Upshaw, Marshall Upshaw Jr., Jaime Delgado and David James Jr.
A reception will take place at the Rock Springs Chapter House following services.

Susan M. Bahe
MYERSTOWN, Pa. – Susan M. Bahe, 68, of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully July 22, 2026, surrounded by her family after battling a brief illness.

Born in Pottsville, Pennsylvania, to parents, Edward Moshinsky and Margaret Moshinsky (nee Schminkey), she spent her early years growing up in Yardley, Pennsylvania, with her four siblings.
Susan attended Pennsbury High School and studied education at Bloomsburg University, where she made many lifelong friends through her unmatched superpowers as a conversationalist.
After earning her degree, Susan moved to Arizona where she began her teaching career at Ganado Primary School on the Navajo Nation, and where she met her loving husband. The newlyweds moved back to Pennsylvania and settled in Lancaster, where she continued her teaching career with the School District of Lancaster, first at LaFayette Elementary School and later retiring from Thomas Wharton Elementary School after over 30 combined years in education. Her love of her career and students knew no bounds and she was very active in school events with her students, their families, and her colleagues.
Susan enjoyed traveling and going to the beach, having spent many family summer vacations in Ocean City, New Jersey. She rejoiced in the birth of her only grandson, River, in November 2020. From that point on, she devoted all free time, previously spent reading a book or keeping tabs on her friends and family or favorite shows, to playtime, learning, arts and crafts and countless trips to Dutch Wonderland for soft pretzels and train rides with River.
Susan also had a special love for animals, taking in many pets throughout her life and caring for the neighborhood cats.
Susan is survived by her husband of 40 years, Gerald Bahe; sons, Tyler (fiancée Andrea Mellen) and Noah; and beloved grandson, River.
Susan is also survived by her siblings, Carol Gillen (husband John), Janet Dubble (husband Dave), Ed Moshinsky (wife Pam), and Lynne Watts (husband Ryan); and treasured nieces, nephews, cousin, and other extended family.
Relatives and friends are invited to Susan’s Memorial Service and Celebration of Life at Myerstown Church of the Brethren (51 W. Stoever Ave.) in Myerstown, Pennsylvania, on Thursday, Aug. 13, at 10 a.m.

Arthur T. Davis
GALLUP – Funeral services for Arthur T. Davis, 94, of Crownpoint, will be held Tuesday, Aug. 11, at Rollie Mortuary in Gallup. Public visitation and viewing begins at 10 a.m., followed by the service at 11 a.m. Burial with military honors will take place at the Gallup State Veterans Cemetery at 1 p.m.
Arthur T. Davis, March 7, 1932 – July 20, 2026
Arthur was born March 7, 1932, in Littlewater (Shiprock), New Mexico, into the Tódích’íi’nii (Bitter Water Clan), born for Honágháahnii (One-walks-around Clan). He passed away July 20, 2026, in Gallup.
Art lived a life of service, dedication, and perseverance. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War before becoming a professional bull rider and proud member of the All Indian Rodeo Cowboys Association. After his military service, he continued his education and devoted his career as a school teacher with the Bureau of Indian Affairs.
In retirement, Art remained committed to his community, serving as commander of his local veterans organization on the Navajo Nation, and as a faithful member of the Christian Reformed Church.
Art is survived by his wife, Mary Rose Davis; sisters, Maria Ignacio (Davis Barber) and Lillie Atcitty; and several children, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jared Ahkee, Tyrone Albert, Brandon Atencio, Ronnie Barber, James Sinnott and Lawrence Sinnott.
Honorary pallbearers will be Cecil White, Wilbert Murphy, Willie Murphy, Watson Castillo, Omar Tsosie, Wilbert Atencio and Lee K. Apachito.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Rollie Mortuary for their compassionate care and support during this time.
