Lorenzo Peshlakai

GALLUP – A memorial service for Lorenzo Peshlakai, 75, of Window Rock, will take place Tuesday, July 28, 11 a.m., at the Grace Bible Church in Gallup. Burial took place at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix July 21.

Lorenzo Peshlakai, June 12, 1951 – July 12, 2026

Lorenzo was born June 12, 1951, in Morenci, Arizona. He passed away July 12, 2026, in Phoenix.

Lorenzo is survived by his wife, Wendy; daughter, Sarah (Seth) Stevens; son, Caleb (Kirsten) Peshlakai; brother, John Lee Peshlakai; and six grandchildren.

Lorenzo is preceded in death by his parents, John and June Peshlakai; brothers, Raymond Fulton and Wallace Peshlakai; and sister, Jean Harvey.

A reception will take place at Grace Bible Church following the service.

Wilson J. Naswood

ST. MICHAELS, Ariz. – Funeral services for Wilson J. Naswood, 82, of Fort Defiance, will take place Monday, July 27, at 10 a.m., at the Mary Mother of Mankind Catholic Church in St. Michaels, Arizona. Viewing will take place at 9:30 a.m., before the service. Burial will follow at the Fort Defiance Veterans Cemetery.

Wilson J. Naswood, Jan. 30, 1944 – July 16, 2026

Wilson was born Jan. 30, 1944, into the Tábąąhá (Water’s Edge Clan), born for Ta’neeszahnii (Tangle Clan). His nálí is Tótsohnii (Big Water); cheii is ‘Áshįįhí (Salt People). He passed away July 16, 2026, in Albuquerque.

Wilson graduated from Window Rock High School in 1965 and served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He earned a bachelor’s degree in counseling and retired from the Window Rock Unified School District. He enjoyed rodeos and watching football and wrestling.

Wilson is survived by his wife, Alice A. Naswood; children, Selma Naswood, Emery Naswood, Emerson Naswood, Velma Naswood, Emmanuel Naswood, Wilma Naswood, Emerald Naswood and Emmett Naswood; sisters, Judy Armstrong and Louise Naswood; and three grandchildren.

Wilson is preceded in death by his parents, Rufus and Yannabah Naswood; brother, Harrison Naswood; daughter, Elma Naswood; and maternal grandparents, Tohsoni and Geebah Yazzie.

Pallbearers will be Reagan Armstrong Jr., Reginald Armstrong Sr., Reginald Armstrong Jr., Demarion Wood, Jimmy Billie and Makailo Billie.

A reception will take place at the Fort Defiance Chapter House following services.

Rosalyn E. Roanhorse

ST. MICHAELS, Ariz. – Funeral services for Rosalyn Eriacho Roanhorse, 73, were held July 16 at the St. Michaels Catholic Church in St. Michaels, Arizona, with Father Pio O’Connor officiating. Interment followed at the Houck community cemetery.

Rosalyn was born July 4, 1953, in Fort Defiance, into the Honágháahnii (One-walks-around Clan), born for Naasht’ézhí (Zuni Clan). Her nálí is Dibéłizhíní (Black Sheep); cheii is Naasht’ézhí. She passed away July 10, 2026.

Rosalyn attended Window Rock Primary School, Window Rock High School and Eastern Arizona College. She worked for the Navajo Nation Department of Education, Navajo Nation Police Department, Window Rock High School, Indian Health Service, Office of Navajo Economic Opportunity and Office of Environmental Health.

Rosalyn enjoyed traveling, watching TikTok videos, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Rosalyn is survived by her husband, Edison Roanhorse; son, Malcolm Roanhorse; brother, Myron Eriacho; sisters, Marlene Eriacho and Belinda Eriacho; and four grandchildren.

Rosalyn is preceded in death by her mother, Irene R. Lewis; father, Tony Eriacho Sr.; brothers, Tony Eriacho Jr. and Leo Eriacho; maternal grandparents, Lillian and Tom Lewis; and paternal grandparents, Hilda and Leopoldo Eriacho.

Pallbearers were Stewart Lewis, Shawn Peterson, Jimmie Pete, Peggy Roanhorse, Levi Eriacho and Mason Clark.

Honorary pallbearers were Myron Eriacho, Tom Lewis, Eddy Harker, Ray Smith, Austin Roanhorse, Tristan Roanhorse and Miles Roanhorse.

Green Meadows Funeral Home oversaw arrangements.
