Now that 18 candidates for Navajo Nation president were certified Monday by the Navajo Election Administration, the next order of business was to draw the candidates’ names to determine in what order they will appear on the ballot.

After an attempted addendum and a thinly veiled accusation of pork-barreling, the Navajo Nation Council’s Budget and Finance Committee voted unanimously to appropriate $12 million from the Sihasin Fund for road projects over the next three years.

And then there were 18.

With a record 19 men and women vying to become the next president of the Navajo Nation, the big question is who are the favorites?
