Ganado survives Tuba City again in one-point thriller

BURNSIDE, Ariz.
For the second straight year, a single point separated Ganado and Tuba City.
Ganado survived a second-half shootout and a big rushing performance from Tuba City junior Charles Bright III to hold off the Warriors 27-26 Friday night, one year after the Hornets escaped with a 13-12 victory. Point-after attempts proved costly for Tuba City. The Warriors failed on three of their four conversion attempts, while Ganado converted two of four, running in a two-point conversion and later kicking an extra point.
After a slow first half ended with Ganado holding an 8-6 advantage, the game erupted for 39 points after halftime and featured four lead changes.
