Tohatchi boys basketball coach Kendall Livingston liked the effort he saw coming from his team on Tuesday night. The Cougars beat the Rehoboth Christian Lynx on the road by 45-35 count and they got off to an 11-0 start in their season opener.

Bloomfield repeats as 4A state champs

The Bloomfield football team may have cemented its status as a dynastic program. On Saturday, the top-seeded Bobcats (12-1) claimed its second consecutive 4A state crown with a 58-27 win over No. 2 St. Pius X Sartans (10-2) in a rematch in last year’s title game at the Nusenda Community Stadium in Albuquerque.

Shiprock High runner
exceeds expectation with 10K win

Sixteen-year-old Jazelle Thompson had quite the surprise on Sunday morning. The Shiprock native exceeded her expectations by winning the women’s 10K race at 2025 Narbona Pass Classic. The soon-to-be junior toured the demanding course in 49 minutes, 39.790 seconds, turning in the 30th fastest time among the 338 runners registered.
