According to the NMAA, members school in each classification earn points for the Director’s Cup based upon success in activities, athletics and sportsmanship.

At the Class 2A level, Rehoboth Christian School edged district rival Hózhó Academy by 60 points to win this year’s award. Rehoboth collected 1,590 points while Hózhó amassed 1,530 markers.

“It means that we do really well in all aspects of what our school offers with academics, activities and athletics,” Rehoboth athletic director Adrian Pete said of winning the award. “It’s something to be proud of. It’s not specifically for athletics, but it’s for activities and I think it helps develop all our student-athletes. The award really speaks to what we do at Rehoboth.”
