Diné women honored for public policy work

Two Diné women were selected as 2026 Women Achievers of Arizona winners in the public policy category.
Charlinda Haudley, a stakeholder outreach coordinator with Central Arizona Project, and Cora Tso, a senior research fellow in tribal water policy at Arizona State University’s Kyl Center for Water Policy, were among the women selected from more than 100 nominees.
Haudley is from Chinle. She joined Central Arizona Project in 2023 and works with tribal communities as part of her role.
Haudley earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of Arizona, a Master of Education from the University of California, Los Angeles and a doctorate in higher education from the University of Arizona.
Tso is from Shonto, Arizona. At the Kyl Center for Water Policy, she researches and develops recommendations on Arizona tribal water policy and works with tribal leaders, government agencies and other groups on water issues.
Tso earned a law degree with a certificate in Indian law from ASU’s Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law. She also earned a Bachelor of Science in political science from ASU.
The Women Achievers of Arizona awards are presented by the Arizona Capitol Times and State Affairs. Haudley and Tso will be recognized with the other honorees Oct. 8 at the Arizona Biltmore in Phoenix.
