GALLUP – Graveside service for Adrian “Ace” Gilford Freeland, 41, of Crownpoint, will be held Friday, Sept. 25, at the Gallup City Cemetery.

Adrian “Ace” Gilford Freeland, July 6, 1985 – Sept. 13, 2026

Adrian was born July 6, 1985, in Crownpoint, into the Ta’neeszahnii (Tangle Clan), born for Santo Domingo Pueblo. His nálí is Tsénahabiłnii (Sleep Rock People); cheii is Santo Domingo Pueblo. He passed away Sept. 13, 2026, in Gallup.

Adrian is survived by his wife, Raquel Freeland; mother, Adrianna Freeland; child, Avery Freeland; and sibling, Quaziar Freeland.

Adrian is preceded in death by his sister, Wynona C. Brown.

Pallbearers will be Rydell Smith, Jayson Willetto, Leon Plummer, Lauren Beyal, Shawn Beyal, Lucas Beyal, and Mario.

Honorary pallbearers will be Randall Famham, Phil Freeland Jr. and Quaziar Freeland.

A reception will take place at the Dickey’s Bar-B-Q, Red Rock Room, following services.

Freddie Holiday Sr.

GALLUP – Graveside service for Freddie Holiday Sr., 75, of Gallup, will be held today, Sept. 24, at 11 a.m. (MST), at the Gallup State Veterans Cemetery.

Freddie Holiday Sr., May 9, 1951 – Sept. 7, 2026

Freddie was born May 9, 1951, in Navajo Mountain, Arizona, into the Tódích’íi’nii (Bitter Water Clan), born for Bit’ahnii (Folded Arm People Clan). His nálí is Tł’ízíłání (Many Goats); cheii is ‘Áshįįhí (Salt People). He passed away Sept. 7, 2026, in Gallup.

Freddie served in the United States Marine Corps from 1972 to 1975. He was employed with the El Paso Natural Gas Company for 37 years, retiring in 2014.

Freddie is survived by his wife, Esther Holiday; sons, Cornelius Holiday, Freddie Holiday Jr., Edwin Livingston, and Clifton Livingston; daughters, Carleen Holiday, Carla Holiday, Wini Begay, Sharon Begay, Lana Yellowhorse and Tammy Taliman; brothers, Jack Holiday and Julian Holiday; sisters, Betty Redhouse and Allison Montijo; and 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Freddie is preceded in death by his parents, Keith and Sadie E. Holiday; and brothers, Kee Bahe Holiday, Sam Holiday, Bennie Holiday, Joe Holiday and Kenneth Holiday.

Pallbearers will be Freddie Holiday Jr., Aiden Holiday, JaKoby Spencer, Christopher Spencer, Edwin Livingston and Clifton Livingston.

Honorary pallbearers will be Cornelius Holiday, Jack Holiday, Julian Holiday, Melvin Taliman, Jerry Hoskie and Arvis Francisco.

A reception will take place at the Knights of Columbus (KC Hall) in Gallup, following service.
