Patrick Yazzie earns Page employee honor

Patrick Yazzie, a Page Police Department crime scene specialist and retired detective, was named the City of Page’s Going the Extra Mile employee of the month for June, according to a June 3 city announcement.
Yazzie retired from the department as a detective in 2023 and returned in 2024 to serve in his current role.
Trystan Conley, a police cadet who nominated Yazzie, said Yazzie has helped others in the department while sharing his experience with younger employees.
“I’ve worked with Patrick since I transferred to Page PD in November, and in that amount of time, I have seen Patrick help just about every single person in some way in the department,” Conley said.
Conley said Yazzie has continued to teach him the details of law enforcement as he begins his career.
“Without hesitation, Patrick puts the community members first and the team above himself every day he’s at work,” Conley said.
Conley also described Yazzie as a strong team member who is willing to teach, support others and bring humor to the workplace.
