Even from his jail cell, Gary MacDonald has circulated rumors that he will be released on a change of plea deal for alleged drug charges that put him the slammer.

He had a hearing yesterday in Navajo County and has another one scheduled today with Apache County in St. John’s, Ariz. The hearing in Apache County is scheduled for 1 p.m.

According to Ina Noggle, a member of the Nahata Dziil Renewal of Hope Taskforce, the community in and around Sanders, Ariz., is hearing these rumors. There is also an effort by MacDonald to transfer his liquor license for the Ole Red Barn to George Ryan.

“Gary MacDonald is telling people around here that he’s getting out of jail tomorrow,” Noggle told the Navajo Times on Wednesday.
