Lucille C. Herrera

ALBUQUERQUE – Funeral services for Lucille C. Herrera, 86, of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, will be held Friday, April 3, at 10 a.m., in Albuquerque. Burial will follow at the Sandia Memory Gardens in Albuquerque.

Lucille C. Herrera, Feb. 20, 1940 – March 20, 2026

Lucille attended high school and was employed as a dental assistant. She enjoyed church, reading her Bible, sewing, crocheting, traveling and caring for her grandchildren.

Lucille is survived by her children, Lorne Ahkee, Leah Ahkee, Jared Ahkee and Latisha Padilla; siblings, Mary (Art) Davis, Elsie Albert, Emma Albert, Emerson Albert and Emmett Valenski; and 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Lucille is preceded in death by Irene Rose Albert, Johnson Herrera and Carmelita Albert.

Pallbearers will be Jason Gallegos, Brandon Atencio, Ryan Gutierrez, Monique Vigil, Sarah Vigil and Trevor Ahkee.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jewel Vigil, Erin Atencio, Aspen Vigil, Cheyenne Vigil and Camillus Atencio.

French Funeral and Cremations oversaw arrangements.


 

Ashley J. Tsinnijinnie

CHINLE – Funeral services for Ashley J. Tsinnijinnie, 18, of Chinle, were held April 1 at the Chinle Potter’s House. Interment followed in Chinle.

Ashley was born Dec. 11, 2007, in Winslow, Arizona, into the Deeshchii’nii (Start of the Red Streak People Clan), born for Naashaashí (Bear Enemies/Tewa Clan). Her nálí is Tódích’íi’nii (Bitter Water); cheii is Kiyaa’áanii (Towering House). She passed away March 21, 2026, in Farmington.

Ashley attended Farmington High School and learned welding at Job Corps. She loved to draw.

Ashley is survived by her mother, Kayla Tsinnijinnie; brothers, Dusty Tsinnijinnie and Lane Tsinnijinnie; and sisters, Kristy Tsinnijinnie and Lexi Tsinnijinnie.

Ashley is preceded in death by Christopher Tsinnijinnie.

Pallbearers were Dusty Tsinnijinnie, Robert Tsinnijinnie Jr., Erik Tsinnijinnie, Dylan Stevens, Esteban Ortez and Dominic Ortez.

Honorary pallbearers were Lane Tsinnijinnie, Kristy Tsinnijinnie and Lexi Tsinnijinnie.

Cope Memorial oversaw arrangements.


 

Harrison Muskett

GALLUP – Funeral services for Harrison Muskett, 81, of Navajo, New Mexico, will be held today, April 2, at 10 a.m., at Rollie Mortuary in Gallup, with Roscoe Smith officiating. Burial will follow at the family plot in Mexican Springs, New Mexico.

Harrison was born May 6, 1944, in Tohatchi, New Mexico, into the Tł’ógí (Hairy Ones/Weaver-Zia Clan), born for Naakaii Dine’é (Mexican Clan). He passed away March 22, 2026, in Flagstaff.

Harrison was employed as a plane operator for 33 years with Navajo Forest Products Industries in Navajo, New Mexico. He loved traveling, listening to Elvis Presley and watching Western and Bruce Lee movies.

Harrison is survived by his son, Harvey Muskett; daughter, Arminda Muskett; and brother, Franklin Muskett.

Harrison is preceded in death by his mother, Kaynezbah Muskett; father, Keith Bia Muskett; and children, Harlan Muskett, Harley Muskett and Alverda Muskett.

Pallbearers will be Harvey Muskett, Clint Muskett, Reshawn Begay, Justin Begay, Lorenzo Yazzie and Curtis Yazzie.

A reception will take place at the Mexican Springs Chapter House, following services.

Brandon E. Kinsel

GALLUP – Funeral services for Brandon E. Kinsel, 39, of Albuquerque, will be held Friday, April 3, at 10 a.m., at Rollie Mortuary in Gallup, with Pastor Ernest R. Begay officiating. Burial will follow at the Yazzie Memory Garden (Smooth Mountain Road) in Vanderwagen, New Mexico.

Brandon was born June 7, 1986, in Zuni, New Mexico, into the Tł’ááshchí’í (Red Bottom People Clan), born for Kiyaa’áanii (Towering House Clan). His nálí is ‘Áshįįhí (Salt People); cheii is Dibéłzhíní (Black Sheep). He passed away March 24, 2026, in Albuquerque.

Brandon attended Satchel Paige Elementary School in Kansas City, Missouri; David Skeet Elementary School, Gallup Middle School, Pine Hill High School and Kicking Horse Job Corps in Montana.

Brandon worked as a concrete laborer with Refrigeration Service and Sales. He also worked for Navajo Concrete Inc.

Brandon loved bull riding, basketball, football, fishing, hunting and cooking.

Brandon is survived by his common-law wife, Stephanie Begay of Albuquerque; son, Ryan Kinsel of Albuquerque; daughters, Desiree Kinsel, Siarah Kinsel and Nevayah Kinsel of Albuquerque; parents, Bilson Kinsel and Andrea DuBoise of Chichiltah, New Mexico; and sisters, Jacquelyn Kinsel of Chichiltah, Chanel Silas, Schylon Kinsel of Gallup, and Mariah Kinsel of Grants, New Mexico.

Brandon is preceded in death by his brother, Brian Kinsel; niece, Ashanti Kinsel; maternal grandparents, Sammie and Sarah DuBoise; and paternal grandparents, Billy and Irene Kinsel.

Pallbearers will be Ryan Kinsel, Jerold Mexicano, Malcolm Francisco, Carlos Silas, Daniel Foley and Jimrix Dabbs.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bilson Kinsel, DuRan DuBoise, Sammie DuBoise Jr., Cameron Silas, Harrison Joe and Francis Begay.

A reception will take place at the Chéch’iltah Chapter House following services.
