CHAMBERS, Ariz. – Funeral services for Annie Z. Tolly, 77, of Chambers, Arizona, will be held Saturday, Oct. 10, in Chambers, at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Chambers.
Annie Z. Tolly, March 3, 1949 – July 29, 2026
Annie was born March 3, 1949, in Chambers, into the Honágháahnii (One-walks-around Clan), born for Kinłichíi’nii (Red House Clan). She passed away July 29, 2026.
Annie is survived by her sister, Rita Z. Mizell.
A reception will take place at the Wide Ruins Chapter House following services.
Jessica K. Davis
FLAGSTAFF – It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Jessica Katelynn Davis, remembered for her bright personality, independent spirit, and love of learning.
Jessica K. Davis, Sept. 16, 1998 – Aug. 1, 2026
Jessica was born Sept. 16, 1998, in Phoenix, into the Tó’áhání (Near the Water Clan), born for Kiis’áanii (Hopi Clan). Her cheii is Dibé Łizhiní (Black Sheep); nálí is Tábąąhá (Water’s Edge). She entered eternal rest Aug. 1, 2026.
Jessica attended St. Michael Indian School, St. Michael High School, Diné College in Tsaile, Arizona, and Haskell Indian Nations University in Lawrence, Kansas. During her breaks from school, she took on summer jobs, including tutoring and dog walking.
Throughout her life, Jessica touched the lives of family and friends in a unique way. She valued friendship, embraced new experiences, and remained true to herself. Those who knew her will remember her individuality, warmth, and the presence she brought to their lives.
Jessica was a voracious reader who enjoyed exploring a wide range of subjects, especially graphic novels that brought stories to life through words and her artwork. Her love of reading reflected her curiosity about the world and her desire to discover new ideas.
Jessica is survived by her loving father, Darryl Adam Davis of Laveen, Arizona; sister, Jalisa Anderson of Phoenix; maternal aunts, Cita Nakai-Mike, Sue Nakai-Delp, Rachel Sorrell, and Zandra Shorty; maternal uncles, Stewart Shorty and Dooley Shorty; paternal aunts, Jennifer L. Davis and Brenda Anderson; and paternal uncle, Virgil L. Davis.
Jessica is preceded in death by her mother, Leonora Eva Shorty; maternal grandparents, Jimmy and Evelyn Shorty; and paternal grandparents, John L. and Valerie A. Davis.
A funeral mass celebrating Jessica’s life will be held today, Aug. 13, at the San Francisco de Asís Catholic Church (1600 Historic Route 66) in Flagstaff. Viewing with the Holy Rosary recited begins at 9 a.m., followed by the funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. She will be laid to rest at Flagstaff Citizens Cemetery.
A reception will take place at the San Francisco de Asís Catholic Church. Family and friends are invited to gather and honor her life and memories.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites those wishing to honor Jessica’s memory to pick up a book, explore something new, and continue the love of learning that was so much a part of her life. May each story read and each new idea discovered serve as a quiet reflection of Jessica’s curious spirit and the way she engaged with the world. May her memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved her, and may she rest in peace.
Nicolletta T. E. Tsosie
CHINLE – Funeral services for Nicolletta Tonita Elizabeth Tsosie, of Chinle, will be held Monday, Aug. 17, at 10 a.m., at the Potter’s House Church in Chinle, with Michael Higgs officiating. Burial will follow in Chinle.

Nicolletta was born April 17, 1990, in Phoenix, into the Mą’ii Deeshgiizhnii (Coyote Pass-Jemez Clan), born for Tódích’íi’nii (Bitter Water Clan). Her nálí is Tábąąhá (Water’s Edge); cheii is Kinyaa’áanii (Towering House). She passed away Aug. 6, 2026, in Seattle, Washington.
Nicolletta graduated from Chinle High School and earned an associate degree from Highline Community College. She was employed with Allied Security and enjoyed playing basketball, cooking, and visiting family and friends.
Nicolletta is survived by her parents, Concetta and Franklin Tsosie III; brothers, Michael Tsosie and Nicholas Tsosie; and sister, Michelle Tsosie.
Nicolletta is preceded in death by her cheii, Tonita and Dan Jones; and nálí, Della and Franklin Tsosie II.
Pallbearers will be Michelle Tsosie, Nicholas Tsosie, Michael Tsosie, Patrick Thompson, Chad Tachine, and Lenny Jones.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dennison Jones, Mattathi Dedman, Anderson Jones, Gerald Tsosie, Gregory Tsosie and Anthony Brown.
A reception will take place at the Chinle Catholic Hall following services.

Barbara L. Todakonzie
FORT DEFIANCE – Funeral services for Barbara Lou Todakonzie, 88, of Fort Defiance, will be held Friday, Aug. 14, at 10 a.m., at the Family Church Assembly of God in Fort Defiance, with Pastor Art Moore officiating.
Barbara was born in Keams Canyon, Arizona, into the Tséńjíkiní (Honey Combed Rock People Clan), born for Tł’ááshchí’í (Red Bottom People Clan). Her nálí is Kinyaa’áanii (Towering House); cheii is Tótsohnii (Big Water). She passed away in Cottonwood, Arizona.
Barbara completed elementary school at Keams Canyon and attended Winslow High School and the University of New Mexico-Gallup where she became a certified counselor. She retired from Navajo Nation Behavioral Health as a counselor and worked as an accountant at Navajo Tribal Utility Authority and the Window Rock School District.
Barbara enjoyed hiking, camping, and other outdoor activities. She was a devoted reader of her Bible and enjoyed listening to gospel songs.
Barbara is survived by her son, Tyler Todakonzie; sisters, Mary L. White, Lulia Bia, Ashley sisters, and Todakonzie sisters; grandchildren, Tyler and Amanda Santiago, and Mattie, Lavar, and Vincent Todakonzie; and great-grandchildren, Lela, Kiera, and Kamyul Todakonzie.
Barbara is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Todakonzie Sr.; children, Kenneth Jr., Verdean, Patronella, Lance, Kevin, and Frank Todakonzie; and parents, Margaret and Howard Taliwood.
Pallbearers will be family members.
Honorary pallbearers will be Tyler Todakonzie, Larry Holden, Michael Holden, Ken White Jr., Kalvin White, Beatin Taliwood, Jess Kaulaity, Dondi Todakonzie, Sean Callen and Oliver. Tony, Edison and Henry Goldtooth.
A reception will take place at the Fort Defiance Chapter House following services.
