As of noon Tuesday, there still was no indication when the Navajo voters will be going to the polls to select a new president for the Navajo Nation.

Nine chapters will be going to the polls on Tuesday to elect Council delegates.

In an election year where nothing has been normal, there are now conflicting opinions as to what will happen on Jan. 13 when Ben Shelly’s term as president expires.

As of early Tuesday afternoon, no date had been set as to when a special election for Navajo Nation President would be held, despite a Navajo Nation Supreme Court ruling that ordered the election to be held before Jan. 31, 2015.
