WINDOW ROCK

The Holbrook Roadrunners picked up their first win of the 2026 football season Friday night, holding off the Window Rock Fighting Scouts for a close 20-16 victory.

Holbrook entered the game with an 0-3 record and was looking to finally break into the win column.

“This win was something that we needed,” Holbrook football head coach Paul Agramont said. “We were lossless coming into this game and we’re a better football team than what that scoreboard shows.”

Both teams battled through mistakes under a rainy night sky and on a damp field. Window Rock struggled with numerous penalties, while Holbrook had trouble with several snaps throughout the game.

“The weather definitely played a factor especially in the first half when our guys were a little cold and our quarterback couldn’t grip the ball right, but we’ve gotta adapt and overcome these things and I’m happy with these guys’ performance tonight,” Agramont said.
