Tuba City reloads behind Bright, talented core after losing 20 seniors

Losing 20 players to graduation would normally signal a rebuilding year.
Tuba City doesn’t appear interested in rebuilding. The defending 2A North 2 champion returns a talented group of running backs and receivers, led by junior Charles Bright III, the reigning 2A North Region Player of the Year, following a summer program that head coach Kalani Simeona believes has the Warriors prepared to defend their region title.
Bright rushed for more than 1,000 yards in 2025 and returns behind an offensive line expected to remain one of Tuba City’s strengths. Riley Mann and Bradley Tall Salt are among the returning linemen tasked with creating the space that allowed Bright to become one of the region’s most productive runners last season.
